These last and work really well. But considering how a toilet works, some of the toilet water will go into the bowl when it’s flushed without going through the upper tank and getting treated by the tablet. This may make a person think it’s not working. Oh but it is! So what I did was I adjusted the top tank to use a little more water per flush. It’s going to need it to flush with how I retrofit the water. I took the hose that puts water directly into the lower bowl upon flushing, skipping the tank area and aimed it into the top tank instead of the lower fill tube. I used the hose clip on the fill tube to make sure it sprayed water into the opposite side of the tank, from where the tablet is so it wouldn’t prematurely break down the tablet. Now it refills the tank faster. The lower bowl part only gets “treated” water. No more yellow rusty toilet bowl! It’s unscented. Not messy. I don’t touch the tablets directly be use it’s a chemical of course.

Gets rid of black hard water stain in the bowl. May take a couple if yours is BAD..

Not sure, Seems OK but not thorough. No color blue and does nto thoroughly clean but helps somewhat. No smell which is good.

Really didn't work for me went back to Lysol lime and rust toilet cleaner.

We purchased this to help remove water rust stains in one home, and although it did require a bit of scrubbing, keeping the tabs in the toilet tank has helped fade the rust stains at the bottom of the bowl as well as around the rim. When we arrived to our vacation home a few weeks later, we found (for the first time ever) BLACK mold in the tank, around the rim, and in the toilet bowl itself. Normally when we are away, this does not happen, but circumstances kept us away for over six months, so the stains were more or less our fault. We ordered the tabs for this home, and along with some scrubbing of the tank and bowl, ameliorated the problem. I am sensitive to chlorine smell, and this does not have a chlorine odor beyond the tank. Iron OUT is priced well, and we will continue to use it to help prevent and treat toilet tank and bowl staining.

I read quite a few (not all) of the reviews on the Tablets for the Tank, but I read enough that I could see many of the other Reviewers had the same type of situation as mine as I had tried nearly everything I could think of short of cutting the Water Supply off, draining the tank & bowl completely & then trying to scrub it out that way. I hesitated to do so because I have a metal shut off valve connected to PVC (plastic) pipe & I knew if I ever got that leaking I would have to get it fixed right away to be able to turn the Water Supply back on. I was thinking I may have to get a new toilet because I had tried several different cleaners up to & including the Iron Out Powder. What I ran into was that pouring Comet, Iron Out Powder, Liquid Cleaner etc was the Water that was left in the Bowl just diluted the effectiveness of the different cleaners without draining the bowl. With the Iron Out Tablets in & after flushing the last time at Night-letting it set overnight & then scrubbing it 1st thing in the Morning I could see it had already started making a difference in that it was breaking down the Lime or Calcium build up in the bowl along with some HEAVY scrubbing to go along with it. A tip to some of the readers : get You a piece of Wood with a sharp edge to it & You can scrub the bowl with that & it won't scratch up the porcelain of the bowl. A regular toilet bowl brush with the nylon/plastic bristles is useless to use on something like this ! In the Mornings I would scrub with the piece of Wood till it seemed to quit working & I would get back to it the next Morning as little by little the Iron Out was breaking down the minerals in stages overnight. In Time it may very well break it down on its own, but I had looked at it so long I am desperate in getting it out as quickly as possible, & Iron Out is helping Me do that with the heavy scrubbing also. This is the ONLY Product that has Helped Me get this far on to the way to getting rid of the stain. I would say it has helped dissolve at least 95% along with the heavy scrubbing in about a Week now. I will continue with the way I have been doing it, & it should be gone within a Weeks time I'd say. Iron Out Manufacturers PLEASE do not change the ingredients of Your Product (If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It), & as long as I have Well Water I'm planning on using Your Product as long as it is available even after the stain/mineral buildup is gone as a preventive measure. So Yes, It Does Indeed Work ! Buy It & along with Time & Work I feel pretty sure You'll find it would Help in Your case. Best, PawPaw C Update: I've bought these several times, - I don't know if they've changed their formula or what the deal is, but as You can see in the photo there is some kind of gunk that's left over (doesn't completely dissolve) & that could leave Your jets clogged up over time. Probably won't be buying again, downgrading the Star rating to a 1. This falls under the category of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it ! Best, PawPaw C UPDATE : I have used this for several years now, & it appears that this Company has went the route as so many others have that being evidently they tried to "fix" something that wasn't broken ! I don't know what the problem is, whether they changed their "ingredients"/mixture etc. but the last times (probably in the time frame of 2 Years or so- & I do use it Monthly) I have been getting a "snotty looking GUNK" that appears in the toilets holding tank that DOES NOT DISSOLVE NO MATTER HOW LONG IT STAYS IN THERE & THAT IS WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES - IF & WHEN THIS "GUNK" EVER DOES FLUSH OUT OF THE TANK IT COULD ACTUALLY CLOG UP THE JETS THAT ARE IN YOUR TANK BOWL (UNDER THE RIM OF YOUR TOILET BOWL WHERE THE WATER COMES INTO THE BOWL FROM THE HOLDING TANK) AND THAT COULD RESULT IN POSSIBLY CAUSE YOUR TOILET TO OVERFLOW ! These have been fine, just throw in tank for easy use. I haven't noticed a huge difference yet but it hasnt been really long. The size is small and low to no odor. Its been fine so far, I hope it continues to work well.

Was so useful. Did the trick for what I would have paid lots of money for someone else to do.

It was expensive than other products, but it claimed that tablet inside tank will last for about 45 days. So i ordered it. But the tablet dissolved completely after a week. Same happened with both tablets in the packet. Useless to spend more money on iron out tablets. Waste of money. Better to buy from other cheap brands with same results.
