5.8 GHz Wireless Video Transmitter and Receiver Kit for The Vehicle Backup Camera and Car Rear View Parking Monitor

Wish I could turn down the power or something. I only need about 20' range but the transmitter is in the camper and I can drive about 200' before it cuts out. Great range, but both TX and RX get SUPER HOT !!

Sometimes signal is blocked, apparently these transmiters only work with nice summer weather, when it i a bit cold or raining they do not work. When heat is high...50/50 chance the will work properly. This is about 1 year after installation. Soon will be time for me to hard wire my camara conection

Purchased these to provide a video signal from a new backup camera on my motorhome. Works well most of the time. Sometimes the picture is not steady so will be rewiring to operate whenever the ignition is on instead of when the rig is put into reverse.

Can't speak to longevity ( I normally update if things don't last reasonable amount of time)But initial value is 5 stars, and it worked well in my car. Picture quality is quite good.I got it to replace one of those smaller ones with the tiny antenna. That one work well enough for several years, so no complains about those either.. this one seems better, and I would recommend it over the little one.

My transmitter/receiver arrived not working. I was able to wire them up and they powered up. Ran some tests and could not get the receiver to output any image. I bought another brand and it worked fine. The reason for this review is to dispel some of the answers I've seen on here.The receiver does not get dangerously hot when on all the time (tested in enclosed space until my car warmed up). My transmitter did not either but it had some minimal airflow.I received many answers to questions saying that their stuff worked and consult the installer. suffice it to say, it is possible to get a broken product. I'd advice that you test the products and power them up in a convenient space before doing the install.Other then that, it's not unexpected to get a broken product. That's the joy of ordering from amazon. Easy returns. I think it's safe to say that I was an outlier in this case.

Absolute waste of money. It didn't work and by time I finally got around to installing it, my window for a refund was over.

This is the second set I bought! I use these on wired systems (back up cameras) to connect my trailer to the truck! Instead of finding a plug when hooking up, I simply turn on the headlights to power the trailer!

I used these for a wireless camera system that I put in my enclosed trailer so I could make sure everything was staying in place. The night vision comes in handy. I can't speak to if these are truly 5.8 ghz but I can tell you the signal is not a digital signal, it is analog and does not have any security or privacy features. It requires direct line of site and is prone to lines and interference. The picture is very clear while sitting still. But if you are anywhere near a shopping center or gas station where there is a fair amount of wireless activity, you are going to experience interference.
