Does the outside box reveal what it is?

No it’s just a plain wooden box

Is it packaged in a plain box, or does the box show what it is?

It's a plain small wooden box to scare someone with & no the box doesn't show what it is. It's the perfect prank & I absolutely love it.

Would this scare a toddler or make them laugh?

scares most adults and make them laugh.Note: the harmless prank can make our life funnier, but please keep away from the elderly or people with cardiovascular diseases!

Would candy fit in it if I want to scare someone but also have a little consolation prize?

yes and that would be very kind of you. my grandkids loved it it is creepy even though you know it is a fake spider.
