Doesn't work with Badger air hoses
OK, what I have is a Badger Krome and an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS air brush. The Eclipse HP-CS came with a free hose from the seller, which is useless for any of my applications as the connections on each end are both 1/4" female fittings and fit nothing I have. But that's another story. The Scorpion II compressor has a coiled hose which has way too much tension in the coil and is hard to get a good feel with the air brush when it is pulling back on your brush. So that hose is useless. Although the connection fit this QD Coupler just fine. So I bought a Badger hose, which I like, and this QD Coupler along with a Badger QD Coupler, figuring I would just switch from one to the other, as the connector part on your brush fit both the Iwata and Badger QD Coupler part. So far so good. At this point. The Badger hose was connected to the Badger QD Coupler but after a while I really got tired of switching all the time so I ordered another Badger hose, not realizing at the time the QD Coupler from Iwata would not fit the Badger hose. The fitting is much larger. So the Iwata QD Coupler I have is useless now. I have the Badger QD Coupler coupled to the Iwata with the Badger hose, and just the Badger hose connected (no QD Coupler) to the Badger Krome brush. So now I have to order another Badger QD Coupler so I can remove the hose easily when I have to clean it. Which is the only time now that I actually use the QD Coupler's. I do have a Iwata 2 valve manifold which has both hoses connected to it, which is connected to the out feed port on the regulator which came with the Scorpion II compressor. (a little side note, Iwata's customer service is so good I cannot say enough about it; the end connection on the manifold would not fit my connection at the regulator, as they were both male couplings. I just emailed them to see if I could remove the male coupling on the manifold and screw the manifold into the one in the regulator, so instead, they just sent me a female-female brass fitting so it would fit between the manifold and regulator. She said she had her tech guy find one for her, and she shipped it to get here in like 2 days. I didn't' ask for one, but they just sent it to me. I also asked about where I could get extra filters for the Iwata cleaning station I have, so what did they do? They just sent me 2 for free, along with a rubber grommet to go in the port and a filter cap, oh, and a key chain thing that looks like a miniature airbrush. She said she had them sitting in her draw and thought I could use them! Very helpful and great people.) So, all that being said, the connector is great, really, it just has a different end connection (to the hose) than what I have, which is the Badger hose (which in after thought, I could have spent more and bought a Iwata hose instead of a Badger). So I will have to get another Badger QD Coupler. What would be nice is if they had others to fit different hoses, or at least an adapter. Or better still, why not have all the companies come to an agreement and every one make the same connector sizes so we can get something and know it will fit what ever we have. They did it to cell phone chargers. I think that all things should match up, and not keep the general modeler/artist guessing all the time as to what to buy and will it fit. I think a lot of you might agree. If you only buy one brand, that is fine, but it is like the older stereo equipment. Sony might (for example) have a better receiver, and Pioneer would have a better CD player, while Technics would have a better sound system etc., so you buy the best to make up the stereo sound system you want. Air brushes should be just as easily bought across the board to match up with each other. We shouldn't have to buy a lot of items to see if they work with each other, and then find they don't. I can't give it anything but 5 stars because it does work great, as it should, and just as easily as the Badgers disconnect. I just with there was more interchangeability between brands.

Very good design & quality pieces.
As you would expect with Iwate products, good quality. You need 2 pairs for this set up to work. As you can see I bought 2 & the end result was amazing. This set up allows airbrush guns to be swapped without having to empty the tank & unscrewing the hose. The quick connect will not leak any air when the quick connect Is not connected. It holds its pressure in the hose tip & when u connect again the air pressure will be the same. I bought this mostly for easy set up & tear down. Worth it! Now i don't worry i under screw or over tighten it each time. Use Teflon tape foe each end. Will give this a nice peace of mind seal.

Worked perfect and compatible with several other connectors
Worked great and fit perfect with my Iwata HP-C. The female hose side connector also worked fine with the male connectors that were included with my Harder & Steenbeck airbrush and my Gaahleri airbush. It did not work with the male connector that was included with my Master airbrush.

Better than the cheap ones.
I’ve gone through about three of the cheap disconnects, all leaking air after a while. This is solid, heavy and firm seal.

It's a must !!!
Quick to install, it saves time connecting and disconnecting from your airbrush, specially when you use more than one airbrush at a time.

I have Harder & Steenbeck Quick Disconnect coupling devices (the "gold standard" of couplers) that are made specifically for the Aztek airbrush hose (purchased from Obeeliks in Antwerp, Belgium). The Iwata-Medea Quick Disconnect coupler is also very compact in it's size and beautifully manufactured, like the Harder & Steenbeck's coupler. Although this Iwata coupler fits the Iwata hose and not the Aztek hose, Iwata does sell an Aztek adapter that screws into the male device that comes with the Iwata coupler, enabling the Aztek airbrush to be used with the Iwata hose. Abbest (sold at Amazon) also sells an Aztek adapter that would fit the Iwata male device but the Iwata's adapter set also includes two more adapters that fit a range of airbrush brands. If you, as I do, prefer the "feather weight" high strength polyurethane Aztek hose, Iwata also sells a polyurethane hose (sold at Amazon). My Aztek A7778 metal airbrush (sold at Amazon) attached to the Harder & Steenbeck coupler will be attached to the Aztek hose. At the end of the Aztek hose I will attach a Veda Factory 1/4" to 1/8' adapter (sold at Amazon). I will then screw the Iwata male device into the 1/8' thread of the Veda adapter. In attaching my Iwata coupler to my 10 foot Iwata hose, I will be able to instantly connect the Iwata hose to the 10 foot Aztek hose transforming both hoses into one long 20 foot polyurethane airbrush hose. Using the Iwata coupler to disconnect the hoses, after airbrushing, prevents having to deal with a 20 foot hose getting tangled during storage. I will elevate my 20 foot hose by clipping it to a free standing graphite pole to better maneuver the hose and to avoid tripping over it.

I had two nonames/china made sets, thinking they are the same as Iwata, both of them are leaking(you have to spray soapy water to see the leak). This Iwata doesn't. It cost me nearly half of the price of this set to learn my lesson, cheap isn't always good. Invest in a genuine set and you will not regret it.
