It works as advertised with great real world range
This item functioned as advertised and better than I hoped. Iโm using it to energize a relay that starts my well pump. The well is located approximately 3600 feet (1100 meters) away from the cistern it fills. The remote signal passes through a large barn and 1/2 mile of dense forest. It works perfectly to start and stop the well pump. I canโt speak to long term reliability because I just installed it, but Iโm am impressed with the performance and low cost.

I was amazed at what $50 could buy!
First of all, I couldn't believe that the purchase of a $50 transmitter/receiver pair claiming to have a 2000 meter range would have been much of a system. Boy, was I wrong! I used the system to control a lighting system approximately 300 yards from our home. The receiver is located in a shed where the lighting system is located. The receiver's antenna is also located in the shed. I use the transmitter in the Latch mode to turn the lighting system on and off as needed. It works every time! I had an initial problem with the Latch mode, so I contacted the company by e-mail and was provide near-instant assistance for my problem. We thought that there might be a problem in the receiver, so they sent me a new receiver/transmitter with expedited shipping at no charge. That is excellent customer service! The durable construction, design, and simplicity of use make this a very valuable tool for me. Many years ago, I purchased a similar system to control a water well pump located approximately 1/2 a mile from my home. I had to pay ~$600 for that system. Boy, that was a waste of a lot of money.

easy to install RF pump switch with great technical support
I had to replace my X10 switches controlling my spa pump and waterfall pump. I came across these RF switches and I installed 1 on my spa pump. Took 10 minutes with very easy to "learn" or match the remote to the switch. Now I wanted to control the waterfall pump, what to do? I contacted the switch technical support and I got timely answers from the Chinese based team. With their help, I was able to modify the operation of the first switch using one of the buttons (A) on the remote and add the second switch using the other button (B) on the remote. Works PERFECTLY This is a very nice product AND it also has ON and OFF buttons on the switch to manually operate the switch

Better than expected
I wanted to be able to turn lights on and off in an outbuilding on my property about 200 yards (or meters) from the house. I had previously tried devices that signal over the electrical wiring, like X-10, but none of these worked reliably, even with repeaters. This device worked. Period. I did not test it at any distance approaching its claimed limit, but I did confirm that it worked reliably at 500 yards (or meters). As far as I'm concerned, that is amazing.

Controls my 25-hp irrigation pump
I wired this RC switch up to control my 25-hp irrigation pump that's 1/3rd mile away down a 60-ft hill and completely out of line-of-sight. Being out of line-of-sight, it was a huge relief to know the signal reaches the relay. This new $50 device is a huge convenience that now saves me about a 20-minutes round trip to the pump. Refer to the picture for how I wired it up. A few years previously I had installed timer relays (Gaeyaele 1pcs GRT8-M 16A on Amazon, $31/ea, need 2) that when the panel is energized pull-in the 3-phase contactor according to the chosen time schedule. When the panel is energized and start button pressed, the timers energize. To install the RC switch, all I did was install it to power the timer relays -- it's that simple. So, whenever the panel is energized and start button pressed, nothing happens . I turn the RC switch ON, which initiates the timer relays, which pulls-in the contactor to run the timer schedule. To kill the pump, I turn the RC switch OFF, which kills the timers and the contactor opens killing the pump. I then turn back ON to re-initiate the timer relay schedule for the pump. You don't have to use timer relays like I did, you can wire up the RC switch directly to your magnetic coil that pulls in the contactor (or motor starter), which was 120V in my case. Other contactors and motor starters may use 220V. Whatever you do, don't exceed the 220V rating of the RC switch. And definitely get an electrician to help if you're unsure of yourself -- no shame there. It's easy to make a mistake and for things to go wrong -- you don't want to be electrocuted. You absolutely need to be hyper vigilant careful working with these panels. Check and double check to ensure panel power is OFF.

does not last
First one lasted a year, bought a replacement and it lasted less than a year. Not worth the hassle.

No certification for use in Canada. Illegal product to connect with no CSA or UL listing
It probably works great but cannot legally use in Canada. Amazon sells lots of unlisted illegal products that are regulated by federal law so buyer beware. If you know this before you purchase, great, but it was not noted when I purchased.
