Brydge 11.0 Pro Wireless Keyboard | Compatible with iPad Pro 11-inch (2018) | Backlit Keys | Long Battery Life | (Space Gray)

I got my Brydge Keyboard in about a week ago, and have been using it almost daily for school. I'm going to discuss some of the things I had concerns with that were answered when I finally had one in my own hands. Build Quality The build quality of this keyboard is like no other. Made from sturdy aluminum, it adds significant weight to the iPad, but provides a solid surface for typing. When in your lap or on a desk, it truly feels like a keyboard. The keys have a nice click to them, the keyboard doesn't flex (unless you REALLY make it), and the feel is just great. The backlights on the keyboard are also great, as they provide three different brightness settings, and clearly illuminate the keys at night. There is minimal light leakage from around the keys, as they are mainly just lighting up the letters (like they are designed to do). The other noticeable thing with the build quality is the hinges. You use the hinges on this to hold up the iPad, and they sure do work. The rubber grips that you slide the iPad into hold it incredible firmly, and normal movement will not allow the iPad to slide out unless you want it to. The grips don't flex when you slide the iPad in and out, which shows a solid build on them. Additionally, the magnetic leather cover for the iPad is incredible. The side that goes against the iPad is very soft, and won't cause any harm to the device, and the side that goes in your hand is very soft (for leather) and feels high quality. I was surprised by this, as I expected it just to be a cheap cover. Visual Appeal The Brydge Pro 11.0 provides a clean look, and honestly looks like something Apple themselves would have designed. The Space Grey coloring matches so perfectly that you wouldn't know it wasn't from Apple. With the backlights on, the keyboard has a very attractive look. Even when not in use, the keyboard doesn't look out of place with the iPad, but rather as though it is just a part of it. Brydge's team did an excellent job of making this look like the premium accessory it is. Usage As I said earlier, the keyboard is incredible. I have noticed the most minor blips in Bluetooth connectivity, most notably when the iPad has been asleep for a while. When typing, it doesn't flex or move around, which allows for long durations of work with no frustration. The function keys are a great addition that I didn't even know I needed. They allow for locking the iPad, controlling the keyboard backlights, controlling the screen brightness, start and pause audio/media that is playing, as well as skip or rewind. There are also three buttons that allow for Bluetooth pairing, checking the keyboard's battery life, and to power the keyboard on/off. Drawbacks There are minimal drawbacks with the keyboard in my opinion. The first is that the rubber stoppers on the bottom only seem to have a use if the screen is at a perfect 90 degree angle or closed. It's good for if you don't want it to move when closed on a table, but for practical use, they're somewhat useless. The other is that the rubber nubs between the keyboard and iPad leave little fingerprint-like marks on the screen (that's really picky, I'm just looking for annoyances here). Overview Overall, I HAVE to recommend this keyboard. Having used Apple's Smart Keyboard Folio, I am willing to admit that this is insanely higher quality and more satisfying to use. It looks beautiful, works great, and is well worth the price tag. If you plan to move around or travel with your iPad, but know you'll be working on it, this is the keyboard for you. Enjoy!

This item is fantastic. Very well built and matched the iPad exactly (Space Gray) Makes the iPad look just like a MacBook and literally allows me to replace my PC laptop for about 95% of daily activities (Still have a couple of business needs that will only use Microsoft IE) The keyboard has a great feel to it and the dedicated "apple" keys are a nice feature. I was able to add a Bluetooth mouse to the setup and now it is truly a new system! I highly recommend this product, you will not be disappointed. The item it a little heavy so just be aware of that if you intend to carry it around like you did with just the plain iPad. However, since you can still detach the screen and place it in another case if you don't need the keyboard for your trip to the park, then this is really not a worry. I was a little hesitant at first to purchase this as this was more expensive than the other similar type keyboards on the market, but after purchasing it I can tell you that the "lesser" units would have been the true "waste of money". This was money well spent and the right decision. Lastly, please be aware that this unit only works with the thinnest of screen protectors. If you have a ballistic glass or gorilla glass cover you will have to remove it. I found a great "paper feel" screen protector that works well.

This is my second Brydge keyboard—I previously used one for my old iPad Pro 10.5, which was an okay product. I was on the fence about purchasing this iteration until recently when the price dropped to sub-$20 new on Amazon. First off, the good: It’s a great typing experience—I feel this generation is greatly improved over the less-responsive previous gen. The keyboard looks great when attached to the iPad. I’m also a fan of the magnetic protective cover for the back of the iPad, which the previous generation did not offer. The available key functions such as volume, brightness level, and play/pause, along with the multitude of viewing angles greatly enhance my iPad user experience as well. Overall, the keyboard is sturdy and has quite the premium feel to it. So my one gripe, and the reason I had to dock a star, is the same gripe many reviewers have about this Brydge keyboard: the weight. I’m not trying to body shame, but man this thing is deceptively chunky. The keyboard more than doubles the weight of the iPad. I purchased this for one purpose only: to allow me to replace my MacBook Air M1 on my one bag travels, so I can lighten my backpacking load even more. The iPad/Brydge combo just barely accomplishes that. As shown in the pics, the iPad/Brydge saves me only about four ounces in weight. The real saving, however, would be in space as obviously the form factor of the iPad has a smaller footprint than the 13” MacBook (although, the iPad/Brydge combo is a couple millimeters thicker than the MacBook Air at their thickest points, oddly enough). I will be keeping this Brydge, as it is a great keyboard other than the weight issue. For the price I paid, it was a steal. However, on my next trip, I will probably leave the keyboard behind in favor of my folio case. I’d much rather just type on the iPad screen than carry the equivalent of a brick in my backpack.

Just purchased my iPad Pro 11 on October 1, 2019 and immediately went looking for a keyboard other than one supplied by Apple. Had used ClamCase before with iPad Air 2 and previous models. Did a web search on keyboards for iPad Pro 11 and Brydge Keyboard Pro popped up. After a bit of research I made the best decision ever when I purchased the Brydge Pro Keyboard for iPad Pro 11. IMO it’s fantastic. The aluminum body is very nice and cool to the touch. The docking hinges are very stable and I don’t feel any flex in my iPad Pro 11 body when opening or closing it. I really like the looks and it makes my iPad Pro fit quite well aesthetically with my MBP 13 and 15 inch model. Heck, I still have an old MBP 17 inch. Getting back to the Brydge...I really like the detachable leather-like protector for the back of the iPad Pro. It really presents a quality look when the iPad Pro 11 is closed. I’m not the best typist so the knock about key travel by some users is of no consequence to me. Besides it’s a personal preference. The only critique regarding typing is there’s a registry delay with the first typed letter if the keyboard has been idle for a period of time. Just something you need to be aware of. The only wish would be to have a 360 degree rotation to accommodate movie and drawing mode without removing the iPad Pro 11 from the docking clamps. Not a deal breaker for me. I’m typing this review using the Brydge Pro Keyboard for iPad Pro 11. BTW...The new iPadOS makes using the Brydge even more enjoyable as you can now pair a BT mouse your iPad. Bottomline other than the smaller keyboard footprint compared to my MBP’s using the Brydge with my iPad Po 11 is like using a full pledged MacBook. Oh...I chose the Space Gray model to match my iPad Pro 11. One more point....if you have butter-fingers there are plenty of form fitting padded cases that will provide an added measure of protection for your iPad Pro 11 as well as the Bridge Pro 11 Keyboard. Highly recommend that the Brydge Pro Keyboard for iPad Pro 11 (or 12) be on your short list for consideration.

Update, 4 months and 2 weeks later: Two messages to customer service. No replies. Make of that what you will. If you have problems with this keyboard, and are outside of the Amazon return window, then good luck! Update, 4 months later: The backlit keys stopped working and the battery status indicator LED no longer appears when holding the battery status indicator button. Also, while the hinges are very solid, the rubber that protects them from scratching your expensive iPad is not. The rubber on one of my hinges has separated from the hinge after only 4 months of use and having removed the iPad from the case maybe ten times. It’s not the end of the world, because I can hold the rubber in place so that it protects the iPad while I slide it into the hinges, but the broken backlit keys and status indicator feels like a software/firmware problem and is a complete deal-breaker for me. Brydge replied to my original review saying that if I ever needed help with the product to reach out to them on their website. I did this three business days ago and nobody ever replied. At this price point, you expect consistent quality and at the very least a helpful customer service experience, neither of which I’ve experienced. Sorry, but I can’t no longer recommend this keyboard. If you’re like me and are now shopping for a new keyboard, check out the Logitech one for the iPad Pro 11. Tried a few different cases and this is by far my favorite. It's quite heavy. If you want to keep your setup light, then maybe look elsewhere. Otherwise, this case has everything going for it. It's very well-made. The hinge is solid. The keys feel very nice: they aren't clicky, but they aren't very squishy either. The space gray finish matches the space gray iPad finish perfectly. A few times, people have mistaken my iPad for a MacBook Pro, which I think says something about the overall build quality and design. The keyboard has arrow keys, which none of my other cases had. It's a very welcome addition.

Not a big reviewer of products but I have few things I think others like me would like to know: As a note I have been using the Apple Smart Keyboard for a while now. 1. The keyboard typing experience is very nice. Responsive keys and well placed. Once you use it a few times you will have no trouble at all. 2. The product is heavy. No doubt about it it is heavy but it does offer a solid foundation for the overall combination of the iPad and the keyboard. 3. There is one big flaw and one small flaw. The Big one first and it stands out pretty quickly. If you push the iPad back past about 110 degrees it just falls flat and I mean falls. The weight of the iPad is not supported but the hinges on each side of the device. Not sure if it is just my Brydge or if this is common to all. I don’t really expect it to hold up all the way back but what I do not like is the speed with which it falls. The second and smaller flaw is not totally unique to the Brydge and I have experienced on other snap on keyboards. The need to swipe up is limited by the attachment to the unit. They try to address it with a curve at the back above the keyboard but if you have bigger hands like I do it really is a challenge. 4. I do like the backlight of the keyboard. So disappointed that the Apple product did not have built in backlight! How could they miss like that? I have a feeling the Brydge will be going back to Amazon.

As I type this review on this keyboard, I’m reminded that this is my third Apple iPad that I have owned. Since then, I’ve owned just about every keyboard/cover combination, both from Apple and from third parties. Some are good, others not so much. Hands down, this Brydge product is the BEST keyboard for the iPad Pro 11 I have owned. The cost is very reasonable considering what the competing Apple product costs and the materials/workmanship. This keyboard looks and feels every bit like and Apple-made product. It fits seamlessly with the iPad Pro and makes the tablet look even more like a mini-laptop instead of a tablet. I’ve only run into two negatives with this product: 1) The included USB-C cable doesn’t work, it was DOA. I’ve got lots of cables, so it didn’t bother me. 2) I do a lot of writing with my iPad Pro. For writing on a flat surface, you need to either remove the tablet from the keyboard or lay it flat (180 degrees open). I’m sure some users will find other negatives (heavy, bulky, ...). But this keyboard is the best fit for me, as I needed to a lot of typing, sometimes in low-lit conditions (like right now). The feel of the lighted keyboard is a dream! If you are used to the feel of an Apple Magic keyboard, it’s very similar, only better. Super responsive, perfect spacing, and very comfortable if you are doing a lot of typing either on a desk, airplane, or your lap. The first few times typing, I hit the on/off key instead of the “delete” key. But with the Brydge keyboard, I finally have what I have always wanted from an iPad - a mini MacBook Pro! Perfect for the lightweight road warrior!

This keyboard is worth every penny. About a month after I bought my iPad I bought 2 different keyboard cases, literally the only 2 that were good and available at the time that this iPad came out, none of the big companies were making them, I got them off amazon and used one for a little under a year. When I spilled water on the keyboard it messed it up so I we t a head and decided to give brydge a chance. I had seen their keyboard all over the place and almost purchased it when it was on preorder, I’m glad I waited. I feel like I have a MacBook Pro now instead of an iPad with a keyboard. The aluminum is milled to perfectly match the contour of the iPad, sharp edges and clean round edges. The way it hold the iPad is very secure. I had my doubts about this keyboard because the one I used before had a really hard time reconnecting to my iPad quickly after it went to sleep. The Brydge keyboard does not hesitate to connect nor does it lag at all. I have been using it daily for my college classes every day for 2 weeks now and it is amazing, the battery life is incredible. You can keep track of the battery level through the iPad battery center very easily. I might get the Brydge Pro keyboard but we will see. I’m very happy with this one so far and I dont see a reason to upgrade at this time.

I bought a few different keyboards for the iPad Pro 11 inches and none of them are close to the quality and usability of the Bridge keyboard. The feeling of the keyboard is very much like the older macbooks. It has a good key travel and, even for the 11 inches iPad, the keyboard doesn't feel cramped at all (my hands are on the smaller side). The backlight does help a lot for productivity when it gets dark. I've been using my iPad Pro with the Brydge keyboard for a while now and I can't believe how well it works when you have little space to work with. I sometimes have to do a few hours of train travel for my job and with the very small and cramped tablet available to put your computer on, this works wonders compared to my 15.6 inches laptop. The only downside to this keyboard is the weight. It does add a lot of weight to the iPad.

There’s two things you immediately notice about this keyboard. The quality and the weight. Firstly the quality is superb, It’s easy to install your iPad Pro, and is quick to sync and the keys are brilliant to use. All in all you can tell this has not been made on the cheap. I actually love using it. It is a bit weighty - however I’ll only be using my iPad Pro with the keyboard around the house so that’s not a big issue. I’ll still keep my normal case when travelling. This does mean for me that the weight is not really an issue. From the different keyboards I have tried (usually owned by friends) this is by far the best one. I can’t really comment on the battery life yet, but it does advertise it lasts upto a year 1 so that’s an encouraging sign. To sum up - give it a go you won’t regret it I got mine on special offer for £99 that’s £50 off the normal price. Well worth it.

Impacta desde que llega. Trae una caja muy buena, se carga con tipo C y en general funciona muy bien. El teclado como tal no trae la Ñ, pero si tu iPad tiene configurado teclado en español, el iPad si reconoce la Ñ con la tecla donde debería de ir así que todo bien. Le agrega un peso bastante agradable al iPad, parece que traes una laptop. 10/10 lo recomiendo, no ha presentado ninguna falla; tengo como mes y medio con el producto.

Es una muy buena opción, me encanta, el único “pero” es que es teclado inglés.
