Do not know. Compatible with 14 inch shelf.

Is the griddle cast iron?

Yes - nice, heavy duty cast iron with a handle on the front to carry it

How does it stand up to the elements? Just bring the griddle indoors for wet weather?

I bought the camp chef barbecue cover and it will fit over sidekick griddle. I also live in California so consider your local weather conditions for the winter months.
