Tub drain started acting up, ordered this and was amazed how much gets stuck in the pipes. It pulled so much out I just had to show the wife. I had to give her a 3 hour massage after to get her eyebrows to get unstuck in a raised position. HA! Very durable with some modestly urgent pulling, functions and performs much better than I anticipated. Length seems good and I believe they can withstand a few uses each if you clean and store them sufficiently, though I recommend your own digression on the matter.

These work great if you end up with a typical clog of hair, toothpaste residue, etc. caught around the drain lever rod that goes across your drainpipe. I still pull out the lever so that I have clear access to all of the clog. Pulls it up every single time. If you've got a clog at the P-Trap, this likely won't work as effectively as it is thin plastic and won't break up a clog easily, if it will even reach where the clog is. This type of clog you'll need to break out the snake.

After reading a prior review in which someone had trouble fitting the snake in the drain, I was a little reluctant to try these out. I'm glad I did. They worked perfectly! The length is ideal for reaching the P-trap and the snake was the perfect size to fit in the drain without having to remove the stopper -- I just unscrewed the top of it and went to work. Needless to say, it did a fantastic job cleaning the hair out of the drain and getting the water to drain quickly again. The cheap price and fast shipping made it an ideal choice.

This drain snake works great for hair buildup close to the surface. It is easy to use and keeps the hair attached when you pull it out. The material seems durable, too, so these should last a long time. My only complaint is that I can’t use this in my shower drain, which turns at a nearly 90 degree angle (I live in an older house). It gets stuck at the turn every time, and even a professional plumber couldn’t get it to work (they came for another issue and I had them try). But for all other drains in the house, this has worked great!
