These temperature / hygrometer units came ready to use with batteries, there are no buttons, switches or any settings to configure. The display shows the current humidity and temperature reading in degrees Celsius and updates the readout roughly every 10 seconds. The units are very compact, about the size of a 9V battery. They appear to be designed to slot into something, like a cabinet or container to monitor the interior temperature / humidity, however they sit fine on their own standing up. I placed these in different rooms, each on top of a door frame as shown. They will also sit neatly along the edge of a shelf. Although the display does not light up, they are clearly readable even in low light, particularly the large humidity reading digits. The readings appear to be accurate with the 6 pack I received all being within 1 to 2% of each other for the humidity and within 0.5C for the temperature as shown. The only feature I wish they had is a Min / Max reading like some other hygrometers, but for the price they are great value for monitoring the humidity around the house, such as to see how well a centrally positioned dehumidifier is at tackling the humidity in each room.

Very handy and does the job

Cheap and cheerful, shame they come with the batteries already activated. I can't say how accurate they are as I have nothing to compare them to that is calibrated. They do show consistent readings across all three though so that's a good sign. Purchased to show humidity levels in filament boxes so I'm only really interested in the reduction, not whether they are correct.

These are very small and designed to fit into a panel hole, however they stand on a flat surface fine. I was primarily interested in using them in my 3d printer filament container. They work well in this context. They all showed the same reading when together +/- 2%. Some other reviewers said they didn’t, but these were good. Great price as well. They do come with the batteries activated, but that’s not really an issue.

Compared with other cheap items and a more expensive one, these read low in all cases. I did a test using salty water to generate a 75% relative humidity (accurate if the temperature is very stable) and these read 62% while the expensive unit read 75%. So you can use them as a cheap, general guide to RH but don't expect accuracy. Temperature reading was not far out. Of course, it may be that some are better than others.

Reads the humidity in my dry box perfectly and pretty accurately, will buy again when i need more for this same use!

Going to be straight up honest that these are not accurate. However, they seem to be good enough falling within around 10% of a reading from a more expensive unit. If you just buying these for plants like me. Just knowing you’re sitting close enough will do the job rather than needing pinpoint accuracy. These are still worthwhile considering the very low price point compared to other items available

Being very concerned about dampness and heating costs after reading lots of reviews and advice in the media in these financially challenging times, we purchased a set of these humidity meters and placed one in each of the main rooms. The accuracy compared to a standard thermometer in the room is about 0.5 degrees so not drastically concerning. They measure about 2" x 1" so can be placed in the room unobtrusively. We were a little paranoid initially and were a bit OCD about reading them but now we only glance occasionally. Having now also bought a decent dehumidifier, they are a brilliant guide to when we need to switch the dehumidifier on. Fully recommended for use in conjunction with a dehumidifier or just for your own curiosity.

Bought this set for my 3d printing filaments, i have 2 in a storage box and 1 in the sunlu dryer. when left outside the boxes the difference of measurement is very subtle. would definatly recommend

Gia' acquistati una volta e mi hanno completamente soddisfatta. Li ho ricomprati per la casa delle vacanze dove scendiamo anche all'interno a temperature basse. Confermo quanto già scritto nella precedente recensione: funzionali, precisi e piccolini. Proprio quest'ultimo è un loro punto di forza infatti non ingombrano e non si "notano". Le batterie con cui vengono venduti sono "durevolissime": devo ancora sostituirle ai primi!
