Nice Bag
So I just got this and I will update this review later, but so far it's a nice looking bag. There are three pockets, the small one on the very back, then a full length pocket after that (this goes down to the bottom of the bag). Followed by the larger laptop section. There are only three organizational pockets in the middle compartment. These look like they will hold a phone or passport, or something a little larger. I did notice that it keeps my passport in and quite secure. The larger compartment has one laptop sleeve and a magazine sleeve. Besides that, there is one fully open water bottle holder. It's really nice as it holds the bottle so it won't fall out, no matter how you are holding the bag. I was able to get a fairly large 24 oz. insulated bottle in it. You might be able to go larger but the pocket is made of thin material which might be an issue. There is another similar water bottle pocket on the other side but its sealed shut in the middle. Not sure what the deal is with this as you can't reach into it to get anything. I suppose you could cut the sewn tab and then have two bottle pockets. The bag isn't going to look as smooth as it does in the photo (unless you stuff it with cotton or something). But it still looks nice. The back is vented with raised ridges. The zippers look well made. The bag sits up a little high, which I like the feel of. It also looks to hold its shape relatively well when you add things. I travel for work about 40% and plan to use it for that. Looks like it should have no issue fitting under the seat. One last thing, the straps that fit over the zipper (compression straps) do tuck away, I don't see much need for them and it's nice not to have to undo them every time you open the bag.

Best bag I ever owned.
I got this bag after my experience with their Aether Plus 60 model for backpacking. I bought a lot of backpacks over the years trying to find the perfect one for me; this is the first pack that comes close. If you pack right, you can fit quite a bit in this bag. When I got it I packed it with more than needed just to test. Even when fully loaded, the straps never did into my shoulders. Two changes of clothes, raingear, travel hammock, bag of masks, mess kit, first aid kit, laptop, Kindle, charger, headphones, small umbrella, battery pack, work gloves, and a whole host of other knickknacks still leaves room enough to fit what I carry around in my pockets when I need to clear them out. The ribbed padding in the back is excellent for both comfort and airflow; even lugging it around in a 90° day with an undershirt and button up and my back doesn't get to hot and sweat. You can't even tell the raised portions are there. The zipper does sometimes get hung up on the covering flaps when trying to open with one hand, it's just the fabric bunching up and getting in the way; the fabric has never gotten stuck in the zipper mechanism. There's still some left to be desired with organization, but it's nothing that can't be fixed with a cheap accessory organizer. Also, no-questions asked lifetime warranty for any functional issues. I'm starting to suspect my coworkers and friends think I'm crazy because I keep telling them about it. In other words, I would definitely recommend this bag.

Likely Cousin of Mary Poppins’s Handbag
I absolutely love this bag. I researched backpacks A LOT. Dakine, Jansport, Herschel, Nike, North Face, etc... all of them have too many frills and look too adolescent for me. I liked the simplicity of the Osprey, and am pleased with the quality of the fabric, zippers, clips, and other hardware. A word to the wise: it is a large bag. It fits me comfortably, but is large. I am 6’2” so if you are under 6 feet, be warned. It might feel very long. That being said, it collapses quite well, and appears much smaller when it isn’t maxed for space. Even when full, it looks trim. I have filled every space and it still didn’t look that much bigger. The Apogee is a truly remarkable bag. It is not a Herscheloid fashion statement, but a statement in its own right.

Perfect for EDC
Have been using this bag for a about a week now and I am really happy with it. Great material and better zippers than on my previous Wenger. Loved the sleek look of the Apogee. Plenty of room in the concealed water bottle holder for my 26 oz Yeti tumbler. The Osprey warranty is unmatched and has got me wondering why I didn’t purchase one sooner. If you are thinking about buying, do it. You won’t regret it.

Great pack that just fell short on the fit
Great backpack from Osprey. Love the minimal design of the color black. Feels like it will last a long time. At 28l capacity, it will definitely fulfill my one-bag needs. I upgraded from my 2012 North Face Borealis and what I noticed immediately is the lighter build of the Apogee. The space is also better distributed in the sense that it is longer than it is wide, so it fits my torso better and feels less bulky. My two minor complaints are, (1) I wish there was a way to stash the hip belt, just like with the Borealis. In the city, or for a pack that size, you won’t ever really need a hip belt. What I did instead was remove it altogether; and (2) the straps seem much closer together than the Borealis. I noticed that when I wear it it pinches my shirt collar at the back. Maybe over time the strap will loosen a bit. However, this is something I can live with. One other thing, although this is not so much a complaint than it is a suggestion. I wish there was one more large pocket in the outer compartment. There’s just so much space left for the three small pockets, they could have at least added one more large pocket or something similar. But, the tablet sleeve kind of makes up for it. Overall, I’d give it a 4/5. Happy with the purchase considering I got it under $100.

Awesome daily bike commuter bag
Great product, works well as a commuter bag for a bike. I have used this bag on my bike for a number of months now and don't have any complaints. Not waterproof as expected, I have just used a waterproof backpack cover. Only design “flaw” I can think of is the compression straps make unzipping the second compartment a little trickier than usual for a bag, otherwise it works well and has a good carrying capacity and is compact enough for a cycling commuter to not be uncomfortable on a ride.

Awesome BackPack
I never had any problems with the Osprey backpack, this is super comfortable to wear every day and is good for travel too. The space dedicated to the bottles is absolutely my favourite, I will recommand this product. Great product and great price.

Perfect go to work pack
Awesome pack. Perfect for going to work. Well thought out design. Pockets in the perfect places and sizes. Water bottle pockets work perfect for my sunglasses case. Good capacity overall. Sure beats the hell out of the 20 year old bookbag I've been using.
