Yes knit sections the length you want, you would need 4 maybe 5 strips the same length. Kitchener stitch both ends so the tube lays flat, then stitch the strips together. It might be too warm for a baby!

Miaoke knitting machines easy to use?

Once I'd mastered casting on the machine is really easy to use! I would recommend UTube videos rather than the instruction leaflet for casting on!!

Could I make socks with this? I'm a beginner knitter so not sure how this works entirely!

You can knit tubes but they would be too wide for socks. There is a smaller model with fewer needles that would be suitable for socks.

What is this like for dropping stitches? What can i make? Is it worth the price please

Depends on the yarn. Firmer less stretchy yarns seem to work best. You need to be very careful the first half dozen rows. It's not very easy to pick up stitches once dropped. It's obviously cheaper than the Addi machine so better value. You are a bit limited in what you can make, hats and scarves many.
