Does not work. Save your money.
Pointless. It does not work at all. My dog never used it. Waste of money. This product should be pulled from Amazon. I wish I could give zero stars.

Good training tool.
Good over all, built strong, made it easy to install it. The male dogs seem to mark it more so then my female dog.

Doesn’t work
Well, like others, I fell for this despite the bad reviews. It hits the sweet spot where it’s cheap enough that if it doesn’t work- oh well. Also more of a pain to return than just tossing in trash. We adopted a Rottweiler/Australian Cattle dog mix. Incredible / wonderful dog. Only “issue” is he will not go to the bathroom within 100 yards of my house (live in city). Most of the time it’s fine - we both could use a good walk. However, some days I’m in a hurry or not feeling well. We have a small fenced yard, and I really want him to just go in the yard. He refuses. He loves marking his territory around the hood, so took a chance that this product would tempt him to go in the yard. He sniffed it once but it didn’t cause him to want to mark over it, and he’s never sniffed again. Same story as all the reviews. Oh well, figured it was a bust, but worth the shot in hopes it would help my dog go at our house. He still will not! Oh well, at least I’ve lost 6 pounds last couple months from all the walks!

This unfortunately wasn’t successful for our dogs
Good idea but unfortunately my dogs wouldn’t use it. We have wanted to direct them to pee in an area away from our daughters play stuff. He ended up ripping it up and chewing on it.

Didn't work for us - the way we'd hoped but...
This really didn't help our dogs to stay in the area where the stake was planted. We were hoping it would consolidate at least the urine part but they didn't really follow the smell or gravitate towards it like some reviewers animals did. We did have our dogs before getting the stake so maybe if you had this before you added your dog/puppy to the family it would be there when they were welcomed home - it may work. There is a distinct smell and they were curious to that but didn't make them want to go.

Doesn't work at all
While sturdy enough to be put in various types of ground, that's where it ended for us. We have three dogs (1 lab, 2 pugs) and not a single one of them cared about it. They got curious, sniffed it, walked away, and peed in the same area of our lawn that we were trying to get them to stop peeing in. Since we installed it, we haven't seen them pee on it even a single time. Might work for some people but it was a total waste of money for us.

Helps teach an old dog new tricks
Every dog (and trainer) is different but the Pee Post is working to retrain my 4 year old Golden Retriever. He was killing my grass in the area of the yard that he frequently urinated. I placed the Pee Post in the pine mulch around a Palm tree where I wanted him to start urinating. It has a very strong smell of urine. The next time he needed to go out, I put him on a leach and took him straight to the Pee Post and gave him his normal command to “go potty”. He smelled it, lifted his leg, and peed on it. I then gave him praise saying “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” I then brought him back in the house to get him a treat all while repeating the new command “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” For the next three days I kept him on a leach when letting him out and gave the new command, “go pee pee on the tree”. After 3 days I began letting him out without a leach but pointed to the tree while still giving him the new command. It has been 3 weeks now. He has had a few times where he started peeing on the grass but I just gave him a strong “NO” command and repeated the new command. I would say he is about 90% retrained at this point proving you can teach an old dog new tricks! (With a little help from the Pee Post.)

Your hands will smell like pee
Warning don’t touch either bare hand they will smell like dog pee. Didn’t work for my dog. He peeped everywhere other than where I placed it it’s been over a month and I can’t get him to go near it.

My 4 year old small male dog goes outside all the time as he is trained already. He loves marking every post when he goes on a walk to tell the world his small body owns the neighborhood. I needed him to pee in one spot in our yard and since I cant move fire hydrant into our yard, I decided to give this a try even though reviews were bad. The reviews were CORRECT. The stick was smelly to our human noses but I guess it does not get noticed by dogs or something which I thought was very odd. My dog totally ignores it and goes other places to pee. This is garbage and total waste of money. It destroyed my hope. I will have to pour water everywhere he pees from now. People please DO NOT GET TEMPTED TO TRY THIS. It just does NOT work.

Got out of packet. Dog went crazy thinking it was a toy. Pulled it out of the ground. Started chewing on it. I put back in ground deeper and just ignores it now. Waste of money.

Our dogs like to pee against garden furniture or plant pots so I bought this to get them to pee in one place, the first day I got it 2 dogs got aggressive with each other , probably from the pheromone smell. After than they haven't paid any attention to the post and defiantly haven't used it to pee on.
