I have 2 small children so I am constantly turning lights on and off for them, since they can't reach. Better than them climbing or jumping to grab the switch. I bought these and couldn't be happier. They only took a minute or 2 to install, with just a screwdriver. My boys can now turn lights on and off for themselves with ease. They love being able to do it themselves, and I love that lights aren't being left on in places like their bedroom or bathroom. They supposedly glow in the dark but I wouldn't really say that. Periodically I notice a slight glow from the extenders but not enough to be noteworthy. Personally the glow in the dark feature didn't/doesn't matter to me. I will also say these are pretty durable. My boys are often rough when grabbing the extender to turn lights on or off. These have a little bend, more than you'd expect. As an adult who can reach the actual switch I am still able to turn the lights on/off as usual. They are also not an eyesore. The pack came with some stickers but I left ours blank. The device itself doesn't draw attention but with the sticker it would. Since I have one in my bathroom and hallway I'd rather in blend into the background instead of making a statement. This was a great purchase and I would easily buy again or recommend to a friend. I have not removed mine but they do remove easily and leave no marks behind since they install right on your current switch plate.

I have an almost three-year-old who is all about doing "BY MYSELF MAMA!!!" these days. I had seen these switch extenders at a friend's house, and she was able to use them easily. I decided to buy the three pack because it's a much better deal financially and we put them in a few different places - kidlet's bathroom, kidlet's room, and downstairs half bathroom. The extenders install very easily. You just take the screws out from the switch plate, place the extender over it, and put the screws back in, as there are holes on the extender for them. Make sure you don't screw it all on too tightly or the extender will have more friction in use, which makes it harder for the child to use it. An adult can still use the switch easily without having to use the extender, and my kid can easily turn the light on and off. The moon at the bottom makes it easy for her to grab and grasp - she just needs to hook her fingers over it to control it, which means an even younger child could use this pretty easily too. Bonus: It glows in the dark, so if she were to get out of bed for a nighttime potty break, she could turn the light on. It's cheap, functional, and promotes independence in children - money well spent for us!

Got these for my kids so my daughter wouldnt be scared to go to the bathroom anymore. The Eric Carle ones are soo cute! We decided to use take for the back of some of the stickers, just in case they wanted to switch out the sticker. I feel like the extender is thick, it does bend though if your toddler pulls it up away from the wall, so the material thick but flimsy of used in the wrong way. Otherwise, it does it's job well! My toddler finally stopped doing it that way after a few times having to correct and show the correct way. It doesnt have any way to adjust it really, but my oldest does just fine with it. My toddler can grow into it and the new baby. It does glow, it's not a very bright glow. But enough to see it to use it if they woke up at night! I did only use one screw on each outlet, because it works better that way. Otherwise the switch doesnt go completely down and is hardly down? Don't know if that makes sense though.

Easy to install. The “glow in the dark “ feature is a bonus. The kids loved that they could choose the sticker for their room. Great purchase so now kids can turn lights off and on without needing any help.

Our toddler loves her new light switch. She used to always ask us to turn on the light for her since she’s too short so it’s a win for her independence and also for our sanity. If you have a toddler, you know that there are times when they need something done NOW and their mood can turn from sweet to sour at the flip of a switch (ha ha ha). It’s definitely helpful to have this little tool to prevent those little meltdowns when we’re in the middle of doing something else and unable to complete our little one’s sudden request (demand? Who’s to say?). Installation was super easy and took a minute, literally. Opening the package might’ve even taken longer, and you can bet letting our toddler choose their favorite sticker design took ages longer. This could be a great gift along with the corresponding book(s). Definitely recommend!

Had seen these at a friends house years ago, before having my 4 yr.old son. I took too long in ordering them! (I had thought they were a bit pricey at the other websites i checked out, and shipping usually cost the same as the product itself. I should have thought of the "super saver shipping" option earlier!!) The price at Amazon is very reasonable, everyone else has them at same or higher price, and many don't have the double-pack option, so they come out pricier if bought individually. As for the product itself, it is very easy to install, you just need a screwdriver or two, so I was able to do it myself w/out the assistance of my oh-so-handy husband! They seem to be durable, they blend in w/ the wall, and they have solved the problem that was getting very tiresome of having to stop what i was doing to run and turn on the light for a little boy going to the potty! I think the package doesn't mention it (only certain ones did), but they do glow in the dark ever-so-faintly. However, I don't think they will be illuminated if your child wakes up at 3am to go to the bathroom, but that's nothing a regular night light won't solve. I ordered and installed 4, and am quite happy with them....thinking of ordering another two. (note: i was required to rate this as a "toy", but it is not a toy at all, it is simply an item to make your household life easier!)

Works great. You have to get the tightness of the screws right, but it slides so smoothly once you do. You can still control the light switch from it's regular location too. My kids loved picking which stickers to use. My only complaint is that you have to remove the regular screws, so be sure to put them in a safe place where you can find them in a few years!!

I really love the idea of these things, my daughter can now go into the kitchen for a drink or to her room to play or get a toy all by herself with ease (which of course means less up and down and less running around the house for poor ole Dad!) Not to mention you get the added bonus of teaching your child not to waste electric and leave lights on all the time from a very young age which I like personally. After first installing them it took a couple times to explain that the lights are not toys to play with but after a day or 2 it has not really been an issue for us at least. Unfortunately the overall quality or design leaves a little to be desired at times, out of the 3 light switches I have installed, the fitment for the one in my living room can be a little funny at times, you have to either push up very hard or wiggle the switch back and forth a little to get the lights to come on sometimes. Also when installing the extensions over the light switch you have to find the "sweet spot" when tightening the screws, if you make them all the way tight like you normally would think, to the light switch becomes very hard to move up and down even for me, making it basically impossible for a 2 year old to move, all I did was back out the screws a little at a time until the switch moved easily but the extension was still securely in place and I have not had another issue. Overall I would say this is a must have when trying to promote some independence in a toddler and even teach some responsibility about turning lights out when leaving the room, and you may even save yourself some precious energy as well!

I love these light switch extenders. They make our home more accessible to my toddler. I would definitely recommend checking the measurements- when we first installed them my toddler could barely reach the bottom and I think our switches are at a pretty standard height. They hardly glow in the dark at all, but that's not really a big deal for us.

These things work so well! Fosters independence and the kids love them.

I wish I purchased these sooner for my child. It gives him so much more independence! They were easy to install and he loves the glow in the dark feature. They are definitely worth the price.
