This is a great compilation of "BeBop Straight Jazz" by various artists. Disc 1 is Superb by any standards. The only fault I have is with Disc 2, as they could have left tunes #7 - 11 off altogether as they don't rate with the other artists and tunes on Disc 2.But to be able to play this CD in my car while driving and be able to hear some of the greatest "BeBop Jazz Artists" of all time play one behind the other is great. Blue Note should create more CD's like this one with some of the other "BeBop" and "Straight Ahead" artists, as I am sure they would sell greatly.

Although this is a fine collection of Blue Note artists, the lack of even minimal liner notes (who else is on the selection, where and when recorded, etc.) makes this product inadequate for most true jazz fans. I would not buy again.

I like every title on this CD.I bought this CD to listen to some of the coolest music there is.Does not disappoint!

For everyone who cut their jazz teeth listening to Blue Note Artists as well as for those new to jazz.

This entire album has great recordings, especially the early ones, great jazz. Though it was nice to hear Norah Jones with her nice style. Some other kind of modern music added to it added its share of disappointment to an otherwise very fine gathering outstanding "Blue Note" traditional Jazz.
