Hard Candy Cases Bubble Sleeve Case for Apple iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 , Black, (BSL-IPAD-BLK)

I love this case! I purchased the green version, and it is so funky and interesting just to look at. The edges are stiff, so it provides good protection for the device. I bought mine for the new iPad. There are four, orange plastic brackets in the center that hold your iPad in place. They can also be repositioned (they are attached with velcro) to fit a Kindle or smaller tablet. The interior is lined in black felt with extra padding for the screen. The combination of the green edge, the black interior, and the orange brackets make it look interesting even when it is open. The zipper functions smoothly with two large plastic coated pulls, and the entire case appears to be well constructed. The bubbles on the front and back actually act as both a design element and as another layer of protection for the device. The outside material is a close knit, smooth, nylon tweed material with a slight shimmer. When closed the case is slim enough to fit easily in a medium sized handbag or tuck inside the pocket of a laptop bag. The wrap around zipper ensures it won't fall out of the case and makes for easy removal. I liked this so much that I suggested this case to my employer for our sales team. Highly recommended.

I got this a little bit after I received my new iPad2 on Christmas, and it definitely works as expected. It does take a little time to get the ipad in and out of the rubbber corner thingies. Like if you have a smartcover, it fits perfectly, but to open the smart cover you need to get it out of the rubber corners. You can take the rubber corners out, but then the protection for your ipad won't be as good. you can adjust the rubber corners to wherever you want; they are velcro on the bottom to attach to the case. There are no defects, everything works as it should. I got the hot pink color, and I really like it only I brought it to some parks with me and now the top of each bubble on the case is dirty. I'm fine with that though. I don't know why people complain about the surface not being flat; I think that makes is unique and it provides better protection for the ipad. I have brought my ipad in this cover on many airplane flights, and carry it in my tennis bag all of the time. I don't worry that it will be damaged when it's in this case, though I have never dropped it and don't plan to! This case is a bit bulky, and is not a normal sleeve. A normal sleeve doesn't provide as much protection, but it is easier to get the ipad in and of it. I was looking for a sleeve that didn't provide much protection, just a bit to make sure I didn't cringe whenever I set the ipad down on it's metal back. But I'm glad I purchased this product instead becase it provides great protection and is still a lot prettier and much more protable than a laptop!

First of all, I think you can ignore the reviews from early April. HardCandy listened to those users who had problems and changed the product so the glue issue no longer applies. I purchased this in early June and was pleased to see that the placeholders have a velcro backing. They do a very good job of holding the iPad in place. Also, I think that there appears to be a little bit of wiggle room so you could use this to store your iPad if it had a cover on it. What impressed me was the amount of protection offered by this case. Many of the cases out for the iPad right now are more like sleeves and weren't really what I was looking for. This has good protection should you drop it and really holds the iPad in place. It's also a very stylish case and I think it's a very good value for the money. I know it's priced a little higher than some of the other cases offered but that's okay. You've paid at least $500 for the iPad. Get a good case like this one.

I bought this case through Warehouse Deals by Amazon, and quickly learned why their case was deeply discounted...it had the sticky glued feet that many reviewers here have commented on. But, using the suggestion of another reviewer, I emailed Hard Candy and requested some of the stitched feet. They're currently enroute via UPS, so I was glad that someone recommended that! The case is made of a durable polyester fabric material and the bubbles are nicely molded on the exterior. The inside fabric is a nice nylon swimsuit material on the left side and there are cool cushioned squares to protect the screen. On the right side of the case, the fabric is a fairly soft flannel-type fabric and feet are adjustable. I did order the CTC Blue Diamond silicone skin for my iPad and it seems much more secure in the feet with the silicone skin on. The zipper is a nice hidden zipper, but it zips smoothly. However, I do think this case should be in the $20-25 range...but I guess the bright color and unique style make it a bit more costly than some of its boring counterparts!

I purchased this case for my Apple iPad 2 because I needed a reliable, durable, and nearly indestructable case that I could trust when it came to carrying my naked tablet from point A to point B. This case is everything it says. It has very good shock absorbtion to protect the iPad from a fall/ being dropped. The bubbles outside of the case add significantly to the case's ability to displace or minimize the impact of it being dropped. The design inside is great because you can fit any devicce equal to/ less than the size of the iPad 2. The new velcroe corner pieces, which holds the device in place work pretty well. This case is really only for traveling. I would not recommend it for anything else. For the price I would say it was a good buy.

I'm having to completely redo my review of this product. I originally loved it, but that has unfortunately gone downhill. First off, the zipper pull lettering began to wear off almost immediately. Whatever, not such a big deal. But just after I posted my review, it broke in half. So I sent it for return via Amazon (thank goodness I bought from Amazon instead of the maker). When I got the returned product, it was now different with no mention of the change and even contradictory packaging. They have now changed the bumper style to some difficult, even impossible-to-deal-with slotted bumper you have to slide your iPad in and out of every time. The packaging still shows the old open bumper style. Or maybe they think you are just going to keep the iPad in this monstrosity of a case. That you can't fold back easily. So every time you use your iPad in this you are just supposed to now have the equivalent of a huge book open? Or mess with trying to slide out of four bumpers? STUPID. STUPID. STUPID. I LOVED the old style case and it was my go-to solid protection daily driver. If they think I'm going to sit there and mess around with this moronic slotted bumper when I used to be able to toss my iPad in there and zip up in seconds, they're completely out of touch with their customer. Which is no surprise after I got done dealing (or trying to) with what passes for their customer service. I really wish I had kept the old open bumper style and just returned the case. But wait, I thought! Could it be that I could just contact these guys and ask for some help with this? Surely a boutique case maker like this would be glad to help out a customer. NO. In fact, after several emails with NO response, I finally decided to call their "help line". Let me just save you the trouble, they don't HAVE a phone line. They have VOICE MAIL. That's right, you will talk to no live person when you call. You will immediately find yourself leaving a message. Guess what - yup - NO ONE calls back. So, this case gets one star from me for actually being a good case, but no more than that for a completely unfriendly redesign and ABYSMAL, no wait, NONEXISTENT customer service. I would like to be able to say their customer service was bad, but that would require actually having interfaced with them. Bravo Hard Candy, you found a way to maximize customer service efficiency. DON'T HAVE ANY.

I had read review after review saying this was a great case except for the glue issue, so when I read that the company had fixed the issue and was providing support for the inferior units still in the wild I decided to go ahead and order it. I've returned many items to Amazon without a single issue so why not? I'm glad to say that what I received was a great product, with velcro feet and is in fact a great case, fitting the iPad perfectly (this isn't some rehashed netbook case like some companies are selling) and providing excellent protection. Some people might think the bubbles on the outside look odd. I think they look cool. Regardless, they do provide an added layer of protection and that's why you're buying the case, right? I bought 23 cents worth of elastic and glued two 3-inch strips behind where the iPad sits. I use this to secure a microfiber cloth (an eyeglass cleaning cloth I got for a dollar) that now sites behind the iPad in the case. Any time it gets a little smudgy I have a wipe handy. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that it fits the iPad so well there's very little room for anything else. Even my little "elastic and a paper-thin cloth" hack pushed the limits of the case's capacity. I've yet to fit a pair of ear buds and I'd love to be able to. It would be great if the design of the case accounted for this, with perhaps a little pocket on the outside. Bottom Line: If you're looking for a case that fits the iPad perfectly and is as stylish as it is secure, there's not a better case out there. If you require a case that will hold a little bit more than just the iPad this one may or may not meet your needs. A little ingenuity (and some super glue) goes a long way though.

Works great! This is a *really* sturdy case that functions exactly how I need it to. I bought it in conjunction with the pink Street Skin - had been a little worried about whether I'd be able to cram my Street-Skinned IPad into the bubble case but it works just fine. Plus, the pink Street Skin + the pink bubble case is just too cute. I actually had a woman stop me in the airport, having seem me run them through security, to ask where I'd ordered them. The long and short of it is: This case is quite rigid. I agree with another reviewer who stated the bubbles help protect the sensitive glass of your device, but I'm not sure they'd even be required. Having seen other cases with a similar appearance, and worried a little whether this would be strong enough to protect my precious IPad, I hesitated a little before ordering. But I'll tell you, this in combination with the Street Skin means your Pad could take quite a hit without suffering much damage, IMO. You probably don't want to go stacking dictionaries on top of it in its cases, but in terms of cramming the Pad into your backpack and taking it on a trip, you'll be all set. My one complaint might be that I don't think Hard Candy makes this case with a handle on it. I'd really like one in order to carry my Pad to the gym with me, where I often use it to watch movies while I'm on the elliptical trainer. I'd order this again in a hot second. It's really great looking, sturdy, the zipper works well and doesn't tend to jam and bind - also, the zipper pulls are large enough that you can get a good grip on them for easy, fast opening and closing of the case. The inside is sort of a soft clothlike material that'll help protect your screen from scratches. Buy it!

Da ich schon die gleiche Hülle für mein MacAir gekauft hatte musste ich nicht lange überlegen als ich fürs Pad eine sichere Transporthülle brauchte . Fast Staubdichte Reissverschlüsse eine feste an den Ecken extra mit Polyurethane-Einsätzen verstärkte Hülle in der das iPad oder iBook auch mal einen Sturz vom Tisch oder aus dem Rucksack unbeschadet übersteht ! 5 Sterne weil besser geht nicht !

This seriously is one of the best iPad cases I have had. I still have it after years and it's still keeping my iPad from destruction after all the drops, movement inside the rucksacks I store it in, etc. It's better than some of the more expensive products out there. I highly recommend this product if you take your iPad out to university, college, work, etc. It's at a great price and it'll be one of the best investments you make.
