Great beginner yoyo, got it for my youngest and she loves it.

Great for looping tricks.

This is a pretty darn good looper. It is pretty much exactly like the PlayMaxx Proyo2 fom the late 90's. It has a good hand feel, and a good weight to it. The wooden axle system is very odd to me, but makes for great looping. I can still get it to sleep well and can even do around the world with it, but more complicate string tricks are OUT! If you are 'into' Yoyo's you should own one of these. I got two to start getting into two handed looping tricks.

After opening the package and getting two throws in the YoYo came apart. After getting one half from under the couch and screwing it back together everything works good and is very entertaining.

Not a real trickster, but I have been YoYo-ing for decades. I can use both hands etc. I like these. They have some changes over the old one I also have. They will unscrew. Tighten when you open them. That fact revealed a wooden washer on the sides of the spindle which was interesting. They also have soft domes on the sides, which is good if you carry them in your back pocket. The old ones could crack. Overall, the balance is good, as in any Duncan (even the mini), and the slightly wider rim gives better impact dispersion on return. I am always glad to see Duncan Yo-Yos on store shelves.

Very unhappy. Did not come with a CD-ROM like the description stated. In addition the string gets caught inside the yo-yo making it so the yo-yo can not unwind. It is unusable. I would return it but the packaging got thrown away.

I feel that a number of reviewers are a being a little tough when sharing commentary regarding the function of this yo-yo. It's a budget yo-yo, go in having this expectation and your thoughts may differ. Duncan also sell intermediated and advanced yo-yo's, however, I'd purchased this knowing that it was a basic, bare-bones yo-yo that was perfectly suited for my 7 year old that's having a lot of fun with it. It's built well enough for its price-tag, has already taken its fair share of knocks (one in the included video as it hits the floor) and is still in great shape. If you're looking to perform tricks like 'walk the dog' - this yo-yo isn't what you're looking for due to it being a basic auto-return type. If you're after something basic to teach your kids the ropes without burning a hole in your wallet, this is a great beginner yo-yo and much more durable / functional than the ones that you'd find at your local dollar store.

The big test will be on Christmas Day as they are Christmas gifts.. They should ad a little bit of fun for us all.

Yoyo works well, but ours have obvious sun damage. Unfortunately this was not visible with the packaging intact.

Beware it looks like you are buying a pack of 4 but there is only one unit.
