Umarex Smith & Wesson M&P

I want to start by saying that my rating for this pistol takes price into consideration. If this pistol were $75 I would have given it a 4 star rating. The Good: It is super inexpensive. The number of usable shots per co2 powerlet is at least 140. The overall build quality is good. The likeness to the firearm is excellent. The magazine is very easy to load with 20 bb's. The accuracy is VERY good for a smooth-bore bb pistol. The pistol functions without a hiccup. The velocity is impressive for the amount of shots you get, and it stays fairly consistent despite fast firing and a high shot count. The Bad: The trigger pull is very long and heavy. It is a double action pull, and is probably around 7 lbs. This is a necessary evil in a pistol with this design of pistol though, and all bb repeaters will have this type of mechanism. There is a hitch mid-pull though, that my Umarex XBG does not have. My biggest complaint is that the pistol does not have adjustable sights. Normally, this is not a concern on a BB pistol, but this particular one is so accurate that it really needs adjustable sights. Mine hits consistently high and a tiny bit to the left at 10 meters. Also, fiber-optic sights on the rear sight, but not the front is ridiculous. The front sight should be the primary focus when sighting, so either give it just a fiber-optic front sight, all fiber optic sights, or none at all. The Final Verdict: This pistol is just insanely good for the $24 I paid for it. It fits my relatively large hands well, and even my Glock 17l (the actual firearm) needed some modding to fit my hands. This pistol will hit an aluminum can every time at 10 meters, which is more than I can say for pretty much any other bb gun I own. I got groups of around 2" at 10 meters for 20 shots, and they were strung vertically. The horizontal spread was less than an inch. Other than the slight hitch midway through the trigger pull, this gun trounces my Umarex XBG is every way. If you are on the fence about buying a cheap bb actiol pistol, go ahead and pull the trigger on this pistol. It far exceeds what anyone should expect for so little money.

I wanted to get a pistol that my son and I could shoot together. I have a BB gun from when I was little, but it was really weak. I looked at various air pistols, watched video reviews / demonstrations and wanted to try this one. I tried ordering it from another popular sporting goods store online, but they said I had to get a pistol permit from my local police department, send it to them, have them approve it and then ship it out. It would never have gotten to me by Christmas. This is a BB gun, not a 9mm! I'm not sure why they wanted me to jump through all those hoops. I don't know why I didn't think about ordering it on Amazon at the start. They shipped it out in a hurry and it arrived with time to spare for Christmas morning. The gun itself is incredible. It's VERY powerful. The BB (not Airsoft pellet) will go right through one side of a can and completely through another. The gun does have a safety on it, which is nice. It holds 19 BBs and has a magazine for them. It looks just like a Smith and Wesson M&P pistol and DOES NOT have an orange tip on it. The police would probably shoot you if you walked down the street waiving it around. It looks like a real gun, but doesn't have the moving slide, working hammer, etc. After seeing this gun, I couldn't help but think what Santa said in "A Christmas Story", "You'll shoot your eye out, kid." That being said, if a young person is using it, I'd highly suggest adult supervision, eye protection, a target with nothing important behind it, etc. The same rules apply for this gun as they do for a regular gun. It's really that strong. Don't buy this for a child thinking it's probably like the BB gun you had when you were little because it's NOT. Don't send them out to use it alone. When it's put away, make sure it's empty and the BBs are out of it. You could really hurt someone with it. You'll need to buy Co2 cartridges. I also bought some Crosman Pellgunoil. It's supposed to make the Co2 cartridges do better for you if you put a tiny drop of it at the end of the cartridge before you put the Co2 in. If you are looking for a nice air pistol, I'd highly recommend this one. This is my first Co2 air pistol, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. I love it and would buy the same kind again.

Daughter moved next door to me a few years ago. Had a small pistol range on the other side of our property and use to throw a couple of thousand rounds down range a year. Well she has a big mixed Golden that goes spastic at the sound of gun shots, it tore a hole in her backdoor. So I bought a S&W MP 22lr pistol which I dearly love and thought maybe it would be quiet enough to use without making her dog go crazy. No dice!! So I got this S&W CO2 BB pistol and sure enough it is quiet enough. I thought being satisfied with this was going to be a long shot. Overall I can say that I am. It feels amazingly similar to our MP 22lr pistol just a tad lighter. Accuracy at reasonable ranges of 15-25 feet is very good. We actually set up a target at 15ft and 25ft, shot very good groups with this pistol, especially at 15'. CO2 cartridges seem to last a pretty long time, I believe we went through 4 magazines before it started getting weak, 80 shots. Every so often it will miss a shot, not very often though. Trigger pull is rough which is okay with me. If you can bear with this trigger pull it actually makes it easier to shoot other real guns with better triggers more accurate. Installing a load magazine needs to be done very gentle or it will unload a BB into the pistol handle. Also a little aggravating changing out the CO2 cylinders but I guess not too bad considering you can easily shoot 4 full magazines. My daughter and I actually went on a wood boring bee hunt around our property. She splatted the first one she shot at hovering about 8ft. away. Combined I think we got about 7-8 or so that evening and had a blast. Will not tell you how many BBs it takes to hit 7-8 wood boring bees at 6-10 ft!! Overall I would say this has been a very good buy and surpassed my expectations!!

This is not a $90 blowback, it is a sub $40 steel 4.5mm BB pistol, and for that price it is a steal deserving of 5 stars. Yes it is practically all plastic, but they did a good job with using different finishes to make the slide look authentic, as well as the trim. Pros: *I get 10 mags at 18 rounds each from 1 Gamo 12g C02, not bad (holds 19, but why stress the spring for 1 more shot?) *Although my mini range is only 10ft, I easily get a half inch grouping with only the occasional flyer. *Metal mag *Feels substantial ENOUGH in hand, not as heavy as real steel but not super light like a toy either. *Weaver rail, if you're into that. *Easy to load (Guys who complain that it is hard to load must be joking, pinch the BB between your finger and thumb, then push it into the hole with your finger using your thumb as a guide. Really, I can load it in 20 seconds and my hands tremor sometimes.) ***Trigger, and I will catch a LOT of grief on that but read my explanation below*** Cons: *Plastic. *Sliding the grip back and back on to change co2 is a pain and doesn't like to line up right when closing. *There are 4 sharp edges that catch your fingers when screwing / unscrewing cylinder, and I have medium hands. *Fixed sites / Fires a tad low *Long and heavy trigger pull Now, back to that trigger ***Pro: Once you detect the break, the trigger is super crisp, it just takes a little time to find that sweet spot, but once you do this thing is accurate and a dream to shoot. Treat her like a lady and she will reciprocate, beat on her and she won't. That is why I say it is a steal at $40. On a gun twice the price I would not give it 5 stars, but for what you get for your money, it can't be beat at this price.

This gun is POWERFUL. It shatters glass bottles from 40 feet, possibly further but I hadn't tried. This shoots STEEL pellets. Do not shoot this at people. You will unquestionably hurt them badly. That being said, on to some real specs. The gun is non-blowback. So all the co2 from each release is devoted to shooting the bb. More power. Also less moving parts. the gun is very well made. It's weight is average for a co2 gun. Most of the gun is plastic, but it is sturdy and well made. The magazine appears to be metal. The trigger pull is a little lengthy but with practice you'll be able to place well targeted shots with ease by finding the triggers sweet spot. Pull on it slowly and you'll hear a faint click, that's the round being chambered. Pull slightly further and the round is fired. Once you get a feel for where these spots are it becomes easy to aim your shots. The sights are amazing. With any light reflecting on any part of the top of gun, the rear fiber optic sights illuminate brightly. The only functionally moving parts of this gun are the slide release and the trigger. Again this gun is POWERFUL. I can't emphasize it enough. You can see a burst of gas fly about 6" outwards from the barrel with every shot. The magazine holds 19 rounds, but you can fit a 20th in there if the bbs line themselves up the right way. There's a distinct difference in the sound it makes when it's firing rounds and when it's firing on an empty mag. The co2 is very easy to place and replace. I recommend using a drop of pellgunoil on the top of your cylinder before placing it into the mag. Each co2 cartridge lasts at least 6 full magazines before it even starts to show signs of decreased power. You'll be able to fire shots at least 50 yards on the 8th magazine. It is very efficient on co2 I would HIGHLY recommend this gun. But keep in mind you're NOT going airsofting with this one.

Not a bad gun. I prefer the Umarex XBG gun versus this gun. However, it is fun to plink and do target practice with it. I don't like how the handle slides back to put new CO2 cartridges in, seems like it will eventually break. I take good care of my guns, but for the folks that don't, I could easily see this getting broke after a few sessions. I did notice on mine that it shoots to the right a little bit. My XBG on the other hand shoots perfect. Not sure why it's doing this, but after getting a feel for it, there is no issues. With that being said, it does use CO2 conservatively. I used a Crosman cartridge and got ~170 good powerful shots out of it. I wound up winding through almost until empty at ~210 shots. That is really good. If you take your time, it's a little over an hour of shooting. Overall, not a bad gun, but there are better out there. -- Update -- After shooting it again, it seems as if the gun jams or there is something wrong with it. Yet, I've ran about ~1000 rounds through my XBG so far with no jams or issues. This on has about ~300 rounds through it and is starting to do odd things. I am using premium Air Venturi Zinc-Plated BBs. They work fine in all my other guns. It's not fun when you have to remove the magazine randomly to get it work again. It's not worth my time to take it apart and figure it out. Probably something isn't machined correctly resulting in something being off tolerance. Probably going to return it.

I had recently purchased another brand of bb gun. It was not a co2 powers pistol but I figured well it should suffice for what i needed it for. I got it and it was terrible. Wouldn't shoot straight for nothing. No power and very disappointing. So I came back to good old Amazon and searched for something better. Tada!! I saw this and well the brand name is well know in fact I own several non bb gun items by this company. I got this in a few days ago and was excited. All I had to do was wait for my co2 to come in. Welp it's the weekend and I decided time to give her a try. Walked out on the old front porch loaded the co2 into the handle. Heard that little puff of air and knew it was a time to get to shooting. Soon as I popped that safety back and gently squeezed the trigger bam. That sucker shot true and straight, and with a bit more power than I was xpetin. Pop, pop, pop,pop, fired off all 19 rounds of them broze little suckers. Hit my target every dang time. It shoots like a gun should, it's straight, and got some kick to it. Dang near thought I had my 22 in my paws for a quick minute. And those little co2 things will last a good bit. I shot dang near 6 it 7 times and it still had air. I highly recommend this sucker.

my magazine wont shoot until i hold the bottom of the magazine and its kinda sad because i dont mind holding the bottom of the magazine but this is kinda weird idk if i got a bad one but other than that pretty cool
