Is there room for extra clips?

It will depend on how large your gun is. I can't fit any with mine.

Need to move my pistol safe to another location how do I get it off the wall

You got to remove the 2 screws that hold the drawer in, remove the drawer. Then you can access the screw that holds safe to the mounting plate. Remove safe and then you can remove the mounting bracket

Can you mount this in a car or is just portable

I haven't mounted mine as it is a gift, it does however have a cable so it can be secured to something.
