How are these different than Twilights? Can I wear TrueDark Sunsets at any time of the day?

Sunset lenses are for early evening transition hours—they block less than Twilights so you can still function while prepping for sleep. Wearing them during the day could block energizing light your brain needs to stay sharp.

Do I still need Sunsets or Twilights if I wear Daylights junklight blocking glasses all day?

Yes. Each lens plays a unique role. Daylights filter 75% of blue light while letting in healthy blue for energy and focus. Sunsets help you ease naturally into evening, and Twilights block 99% of junklight to mimic darkness and support deep sleep.

What is Junklight and how can it affect me?

Junklight is the artificial light from screens, LEDs, and overhead lighting. Your brain treats light like a signal—the wrong light at the wrong time of day throws your biology out of rhythm. The result? Junk sleep, junk energy, junk focus.

When is the best time to use Sunsets glasses to block junklight?

Start wearing Sunsets around 2 hours before you get ready for sleep. You can still read, use screens, or go through your nightly routine while your brain shifts into rest mode. By the time you hit the pillow, you're primed for faster, deeper sleep.

What are other good times to use Sunset glasses?

TrueDark Sunsets are ideal for managing time zone shifts while traveling. They’re also helpful when it stays light late into the night. The lenses simulate early evening darkness, helping your brain ramp up melatonin and prepare for rest.
