I bought this breathalyzer thinking it would just be a “nice to have” thing… but it probably saved me from making a really bad decision this weekend. I felt completely fine to drive. Like genuinely normal. Out of curiosity I tested myself before leaving and my BAC was WAY higher than I would’ve guessed based on how I felt physically. It completely changed my plans and stopped me from driving home. That alone made it worth every penny. It’s honestly kind of scary how confident you can feel while still being over the limit. I’ll never rely on “feeling okay” again after seeing the numbers for myself. Super easy to use, quick results, and now I think everyone should own one.

I've been an Officer for 30 years, and I was extremely amazed how well this tester worked and the accuracy with it. I will be curious how long it lasts, but for now, I would recommend it to anyone. The key to alcohol testing is to wait 20 minutes before the last drink. No gum or anything else in the mouth, period! It will throw the test off. It's the same procedure in the Police Dept.

I drive for a living and have found this upgraded product from the small square ones better made and more reliable in measurements. Can’t say how much I always have in my blood but no false positives (0.00) and reasonable if not perfect readings when coming home from dinner or heading to the corner store. Absolutely love the confidence of knowing when is too much (even if you can’t use these - or any consumer product like them - in court). PSA on the last bit :)

Seems to be reasonably accurate, matching my expectations based on Internet estimates and my own gut feel. Very easy to use. One quirk: the memory is accessible only when it is running - just before or just after a measurement. How hard would it be to scan the memory by simply pressing the memory button?

It worked very well in making sure kids were safe to leave my party.

My wife and I have purchased a few different pocket breathalyzers. We keep them in our vehicles. We won't drive if we feel buzzed at all, but sometimes we feel fine but the breathalyzer says we're not (or we're right at the limit). At this price there's no reason not to own one. This version is much faster than the original model, which is nice since we usually both check our levels when this gets used.

I own a sober living program that peeforms breath alcohol testing on all of our clients nightly. We own multiple other BACtract models and have never had an issue with any of them. I needed another one right away and ordered tgis instead of the Scout because it had a kuch faster shipping time. It does not work at all. It gives a false positive reading between 0.12 - 0.14 (1.5 times the legal limit) on people who havent been drinking every time. I even tested myself and my staff and compared to another device which was showing 0.000 on everyone. I attempted to return it because it is obviously defective and Amazon said it is not eligible to return even if it is defective. So, I basically just paid $100 for a piece of garbage and have no recourse.

Funziona bene e le misurazioni sono sovrapponibili nel breve tempo. La conversione da BAC in grammi per litro di sangue (parametro valutato per la legge italiana) si fa semplicemente moltiplicando X10 il valore ottenuto, ad esempio se il valore BAC è 0,05 in grammi/litro sarà 0,5 , valore limite per la legge in Italia. Spero solo che i valori rilevati siano precisi. Questa sera ho bevuto vino in libertà a tavola e a fine pasto un super alcolico da 40 gradi . Dopo 20 minuti circa il tasso alcolemico rilevato più volte era 0,35 gr/l. Spero fosse giusto! ( non dovevo comunque guidare io).

Me gusta que es 100% efectivo, aunque hay que agarrarle el modo; soplar en el momento indicado y esperar a que suenen dos pequeños clicks. Lo recomiendo.

This arrived well packaged in a branded cardboard box. It is compact and well designed. Set up is simple and easy. Just follow the instructions and leave at least 20 minutes before testing. I found that the results were very consistent. Handy little gadget. High price point but that is reflected in the quality, design and accuracy of the product.

I had a previous version since the early 2000. It was bulky, slow to set up and not as accurate. It eventually stopped working about 2 years ago. I purchase the key chain version but after 2 or 3 tries, I threw it in the garbage since it was not working at all. A friend had this unit and it was working very well. So I bought one. This unit is so small that it fit in a pocket. It provide very constant results, accuracy is excellent. I need my car for my work and a few times I was too close to the limit. With this device I can take an hour or more to return to an acceptable driving. Excellent I recommend it.
