Daron Shocking Pen, Black

This thing is awesome! When it first shipped, I had to click the top a couple of times to get it going. I pranked my friends and family with it. it delivers a nice shock if you're holding the pen from the top metallic portion and click the top. You can get the pen to come out by turning the silver tip of the pen clockwise, not by clicking the top button. Great overall product.

This product does provide a good joke to play, I would rate it 5 stars if it wasn't so easy to break! This one lasted less then 24 hours with barely any use. Very cheaply made and I recommend not buying it.

My dear husband decided to open this for me without reading any of the instructions. It didn't work immediately upon opening but he messed with it until he figured it out. He said he got a good shock right away, barely touching the shocking part and claims he felt it down to his leg! There is a disclaimer on the packaging that I didn't consider- people with heart problems and such shouldn't use the pen. 😳

I had a shocking pen for nearly 12 years. It looked like a real pen and had a bit of a bite. It recently died, and I tried this pen. I opened the package and gave it a quick test and was let down after nothing happened. I thought maybe I needed to pull a plastic sleeve to activate a battery, but nothing was inserted to prevent battery drain. I thought the battery was drained, but then saw that the batteries were not replaceable. The pen has no shock and is pretty worthless. Don't waste your time with this.

Delivery of product was rapid and received before ETA. This pen is made of cheap plastic and very lightweight but delivers quite a strong current of electricity. Definitely caught me off guard and was quite amusing. A fun product to use with friends to get a good laugh I must say.

I just got this for my son who will be 10 next month, after begging for it for weeks. For some reason it took a few tries for it to work, but once it did, it hasn't stopped working, we've had it for 2 days now. I was concerned about the intensity of the shock, (as I had read all of the other reviews here), and it is pretty strong! A smidge too strong for my taste, but both my husband and son think its hilarious, so we'll keep it. I will say, that I strongly suggest not buying this for a younger child, (yes, I know it's recommended for 10+), but just to reiterate. It's too strong a shock for anyone too young to understand it's a prank and I think way too strong for the elderly, so I wouldn't suggest pranking grandma! For that reason, I'll give it 4 and not a 5. I think you could have just as much fun with a less intense shock.

If you're looking for a gag pen, this is a very good one. I was impressed that it came with batteries and was all ready to go and prank. You have to press a little hard, but obviously if someone is trying to write with it they will. The shock doesn't hurt, but I felt it in the palm of my hand, almost to my wrist. It's perfect for what it's made for. I enjoyed this.

This item is low shock... enough to make you notice. Its fun at first... then everyone seems know, it's looks give it away. It makes ppl stop and look for how to make tip come out. Then they know something is up...

This was absolutely halarious!!! I bought this for a Christmas gag gift for my boyfriend.... he collects pens, so I saw this as an easy target haha! Wrapped it up, complete with a bow, and waited for Christmas Eve.... got our daughter to bed, and waited for the magic to happen. We exchanged gift, and time to open his... hehe.. he opened it and loved the look of the pen! (Meanwhile I'm trying to get the grinch grin off of my face). He instantly grabbed a piece of paper and clicked the pen to try it out. He screamed, I mean screamed ... not because it hurt, because it scared the ever loving . Well you know .. out of him! Was so funny!!!!!!!!!!

I first bought one and it did not work at all. The second one arrived today and the same thing. Absolutely no charge of any kind in either of them. Love Amazon but this pen is nothing I would ever recommend to anyone. Total waste of my time to buy and then to have to return

I bought 2...it's nice product but very fragile...they're already broken

Item was delivered to me within a few days of ordering. It's exactly as advertised and as expected. The pen emits a moderate shock, which is exactly what I was looking for. I actually purchased this, not for the intention of pranking people, but to keep me awake at work when I start to doze off. Hopefully, it serves it's purpose for me. Decent construction and came with three (3) small LR41 button cell batteries.

Good shock pen. Sometimes the shock is inconsistent. It will get weaker if you handle it roughly because it disconnects on the inside. You can fix it but its hard.. and then disconnects again often. You are unable to replace the battery so this wont last for a long time either.
