How is the arch support? i have flat feet and need additional support.

They offer good overall support; including arch support. There is some flex in the toe that allows your toes to stretch out. They absorb the shock well when I walk. I just can't say if the arch support is enough for your feet. I do like this shoe very much as an overall shoe for the gym, walking and other activities.

does this shoe tie or just pretend?

It is a tie-it-yourself shoe which I was looking for.

Are these slip ones or tie?

They are lace up, but one of the only pairs I can remember that I can easily pull (slip) on while still laced up. That’s very convenient.They are very comfortable! I’ve had mine for 6 or 8 months. They still look like new and feel GREAT! Perfect fit at my regular size of 7.5.
