Excellent purchase; filled up our tandem kayak in no time
After buying an upgraded inflatable kayak (an AIRE tributary strike two, which I will also review), we discovered that the foot pump we had been using for our smaller kayaks took 30 to 40 minutes to fill the new one, so we went on a hunt for something that would fill it faster. At first, I assumed that we would need something electric to either attach to the car battery or plug-in to the cigarette lighter, but after talking to some other kayakers who had tried lots of those, they reported that the best and fastest pumps they have ever tried is this one. While we were talking to them, one of them filled up three boats in a space of about 20 or 25 minutes. They’ve had the pump for several years, use it very frequently, and it is still going strong. We bought it, and it took us between 10 and 15 minutes to fill up the same kayak that required 30 to 40 minutes with our old foot bellow pump. We are sold, and we are thrilled to find something that fast, efficient, quiet, sturdy, and requires no power source (besides our own).

Super easy to use pump.
This is a fantastic pump! I've used it to pump up my wife's SUP, my advanced elements inflatable kayak and my inflatable mattress. It pushes so much volume it took less time than using an electric pump. In the SUP the high pressure mode is so easy to pump that it's faster than the pump that came with it. It was faster to pump up my queen sized mattress than with the electric pump. Love this pump and would buy it again if I had to.

Broke after one season of use
It has taken me a bit to write this but I am very disappointed in this pump. I used for one season and had several problems with it. The way they designed for the different boat attachments was not thought out. For a paddle board valve the attachment can be rotated off the same way you rotate the pump valve to release from your board. This resulted in getting a board to pressure going to release the pump and having the valve piece stay on the board. Causing the air to be released. Obviously, I learned this the hard way once but as a boat person i share my pumps and even warning people it still happened multiple times. I was willing to work with that and then towards the end of the season a piece of plastic broke at the connection of the tube to the pump. Rendering the product useless. I don't toss my equipment around. I store it properly and don't leave it out in the sun for long periods. I expected this pump to last for many years. Not break the first season of use.

Fills fast, be sure you completely seat the hose
I got this to replace the pump that comes with the ROC SUP, mostly because we have two and I want to reduce TTW (time to water). The dual-action works great, filling a SUP in 1/4 the time the stock pump takes. I've seen others complain about the hose not staying in place. The head end at the pump has a twist-lock connection and it takes a bit of effort to rotate. Once done, it's not coming loose until you make it come loose.

Poor Design with attaching Tube to Pump
The pump worked great initially, but we're now very disappointed with its design. The hose attachment at the top is poorly designed, relying on small plastic nubs to hold it in place. If you twist the hose on too far, these nubs can easily break off. Once that happens, nothing holds the tube on the pump, causing it to pop out. This forces you to awkwardly hold the tube in place while pumping, which is incredibly frustrating. We now find ourselves in need of a replacement tube, which is an inconvenience we did not expect. Overall, this design flaw severely diminishes the product's usability and reliability.

no use for a high-pressure pump? still the best pump for your money and the quality is excellent.
I like that it’s high-volume and has a built-in pressure gauge. I use it to top off my Aire Tributary raft so the high-volume output is perfect for topping it off after my electric pump finishes with the initial inflation. I don’t use the high-pressure function that’s built into the pump but my girlfriend uses it when she needs to inflate her SUP. It does the job much faster than her high-pressure pump alone does that came with her SUP when she purchased it.

Attachments are garbage.
Really disappointed that NRS would make this thing. First the good. The pump itself is great. Blew up my 15’ raft in about 25 min of smooth effortless pumping. I flipped the button to try the low volume/high power setting… not sure it works quite like they intended as I felt it actually required more force due to some internal friction, but an interesting idea. Got my drop stitch floor to 9psi with minimal effort using the high output setting. I think the other setting probably only benefits you if you are going 15+ psi. In any cases, now the bad… The main issue I had with it is the bad connections. There is a tiny plastic nub on the connector that keys into the pump to hold the hose in place. Well, this broke after a single use making the hose impossible to connect. Luckily I had my crappy pump that came with my raft that I’ve had for a number of years as backup. Thing costs about $15 and is rough as heck to pump, but at least they had the sense to make normal threaded connectors. I contacted NRS and they are sending a replacement part, no questions asked. I’ll be sure to epoxy that sucker on when it comes. Wish I would have gone with the K 100 instead tbh, but I’ve been a long-time nrs supporter. Good customer support is why I continue to buy nrs. All in all, I think it could be a good pump as long as you are very careful with the fittings, or if you have the space you can just epoxy all the fittings and throw it in a drop bag and forget about it.

Blows hard and fast.
I took my date out on the lake in an inflatable boat. I had a foot pump, a six pack of beer, and some snacks. The idea was to paddle around for a few hours and drink and listen to music. In my mind, this was going to be an epic date and she’d go back and tell her friends and her mom how amazing I was. We’d get married. Have 2.4 children and 1.2 dogs. A small house in the country. It was all so clear to me. When we arrived, I threw the boat out... and grabbed my foot pump to air that love machine up. The foot pump had more leaks than a 1970 Harley. More air was coming out of the leaks than was going into the boat. It took two hours just to get the boat even look like a boat. We had drank most of the beer and ate most of the snacks. She wasn’t having a good time. I panicked and said, “let’s go on the boat anyway. It will be fine!” Big mistake. A half inflated boat doesn’t actually go anywhere. We paddled and paddled. People were looking and laughing at this point. Had that six pack not altered my personality, I would have been extremely embarrassed. But drunk me.... drunk me was still having a good time. Eventually the night came to an end. It was a night I’ll never forget. Anyway, bought a new pump. This pump. This thing blows hard. If a blow were worth money, this would be a $100 blow. Not one of those $5 blows like my old foot pump. You can show off when you’re pumping boats up now. Literally inflated the same boat in 3 minutes. It was rock hard too. Harder than that look your dad gives you when you talk back to him. I felt like the man of steal when I was done inflating my boat. I stood there gazing into the sunrise, hair slightly blowing in the wind, shimmering and stoic. Felt like I deserved an award. So if you want to feel like a super hero boat pumper.... this pump is for you. They can call you..... ‘The inflator’. Maybe you’ll get your own movie?! Buy this pump.... you won’t be sorry. When there’s no air.... the inflator will be there.
