Hercules4769217 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Black)

The sound is fairly good, the bass is decent, however it is a huge unit and it requires an ac adaptor in order to work. How am I suppose to use this? It's the size of two normal sized speaker in one. It won't fit anywhere for practice use.

Well this little Gem arrived at my doorstep .. and My oh My am I smiling... I spent the evening surrounded by amazing music !! but I shouldn't say LITTLE..in relationship to the Hercules WAE-WBT06... this speaker is no little puppy... I has some size and weight to it.. ( 10bls)... and looks like the substantial speaker that it is......... Well I fired this guy up and nearly blew out the windows(Beware turn the volume down BEFORE turning on))).. the SOUND WAS AMAZING.. very much like a concert hall sound... more about that later.. Oh now lets talk about it positives : 1. it has it own mini remote that tucks safely right into a dimple in the middle of the speaker ..NO LOST REMOTE 2. It has swivel to the base so you can point that sound where ever you please 3. If you store your tunes on a computer it come with a USB Dongle and Connection is a snap 4. Bluetooth from your mobile devices.. work smoothly One button pairing and your listening to Pandora or Itunes 5.Provides a free app that can remotely control the speaker volume and chg the speaker tone.l It has a mediocre equalizer as well . The apps provides access to thousands of Radio stations world wide.. so you have the pleasure of hearing your local stations as well as some amazing ones in other countries and premier sites in other Cities.. 6. THE SOUNDS:... The sounds that come out of this speaker are shocking and amazing.. from very soft background sounds (I turned on a movie on my Droid Raze and WOW it was like a surround sound experience ) to the strong bass sounds from classical pieces as well as the soft and melodious sounds from Josh Groban and Bocelli.... I found some Broadway show tunes from Les Mise and Evita ... the sound was great it was hard to believe it was coming out of just one speaker. when a song had some deep base you actually FEEL the base WOW..... 7. Warranty The Negatives( not many) 1. the size .. for a bluetooth speaker this is Big... it needs a fair amount of space to sit up mid range from the floor to get the best sound 2. huge power cord. . similar to the big ones for lap tops as this guy take some power to get all that sound out there.. so it will be hard to hide this plug and big adapter that it needs 3. Not a portable item.. this speaker is meant to be placed somewhere.. not that it can't be easily moved but it isn't designed ( no handles ) to pick up and relocate easily 4.no battery.. it needs to have ready access to power. So that aspect alone moves it away from being take along item.. again this is meant to be placed some where in your home This is a substantial investment but if you want your music to pick you up and literally dance you around the room this is the item for you to consider. It makes even everyday tunes sound outstanding.. Darn even the dumb local radios stations sound pretty darn good... I am PLEASED to have this speaker .. and plan on many enjoyable evening listening to wonderful MUSIC . and can whole heartedly recommend this product.

This thing isnt small by any means. When they say it is 14 or so inches they mean it. This thing isnt for someone to take out on a night and sit and listen to speakers with a small output. This thing is nice. The sound is awesome and you can get it pretty loud. I downloaded the app from the app store and was able to use it pretty easily as well. The setup is easy and you can pair pretty much whatever you want to it and the bluetooth works well. It has a massive powercable and you would need it because of the amount of sound that was coming from this thing. I was playing some stuff from the 80s and it sounded like the guys were in the room with me. I then went to some 70s punk and the band would have been proud. You can hear the notes and what the band was saying. The base is good and everything went off like it should. It is easy to setup and there are only a few things you need to know before you get up and running. I am going to try to put it in my garage this weekend and see how loud I can get it before my wife throws me out and see how far away you can be and still have it work. Just what I learned today though is enough for me to say if you want a good bluetooth speaker and want it loud this is the one for you.

When I received this speaker, I was expecting sound as loud and big as the box it came in! Unfortunately, I was let down. I was excited to get the speakers home and when I did, I carefully unwrapped the monstrosity, set it up and used Bluetooth to connect my iPhone 5 to it. I proceeded to give it the old bass test and put some of my favorite rap songs - ugh; I was hoping for so much more. I'm not an audiophile, but to me the sound seems muffled. The bass isn't crisp and clear, but rather cheap sounding and uneven. Raising it to a loud level creates static and just makes the music sound unappealing. I have another Bluetooth wireless speaker which is the Creative D200 and I gotta say, to me you get the same sound from both and at 1/3 of the price I would recommend the Creative over this one. The app that's made for the iPhone is practically useless. It drops connection and it's a little confusing. I find the Bluetooth connection to be weaker than my Creative speaker; for example, with the Hercules I noticed the connection dropping here and there from only 15 feet and one wall in between, whereas my Creative speaker has never lost a connection and I've walked around my entire apartment and even onto the patio. Certainly, the Hercules has a higher volume limit, but it doesn't really matter because at that level the music becomes distorted. For the price of the Hercules I'd suggest you look at Bose, Beats or Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air (although twice the price). You can get a good speaker, along the same quality if not better for much less than the price of this one. Also, don't forget it takes up a lot of space.

You could throw a raging house party with this speaker. The power and clarity of the sound is outstanding. I turned the volume up a few notches and could clearly hear the music on another floor. The volume could go much higher too! In the box there is a massive power cord, a usb "dongle" transmitter, a remote and the speaker itself. My first thought was that I was going to lose the remote because it was so tiny, then I found out that it is magnetic and sits right in the center of the speaker when you aren't using it. That is a great feature. The speaker itself is really attractive looking and has a swivel feature that comes in handy. The speaker is fairly large, I am posting a photo here to show the size. From the listing pictures I imagined it to be much smaller than it actually is. The setup was so easy! I linked it via bluetooth to my macbook in less than a minute. Mind you I have never used bluetooth with anything and I still had absolutely no problem linking this! Once my computer was linked I could play itunes, pandora and videos on youtube through the speaker. There is not an aux cord in the box, but there is an aux port. Overall I would say this is a great investment. With the ability to link to phones, computers and music devices this speaker can do it all. The sound is stunning, as is the look.

I ordered the Hercules Wireless Speaker for use primarily with my computer. I have old speakers with little volume and wanted to play music with a speaker which would fill the room. The Hercules speaker has some limits to volume, but... is more than able to fill our kitchen dinning room area.(30x15) The sound is great and the base quality very good especially for a single speakers unit. Since it is a one unit speaker the stereo effect is not as high as some other speakers but it does have a "sound body" that feels powerful.I don't have a cell phone with all of the internet possibilities so I had my nephew and son try the phone connection to this speaker. From what they said and from what I was hearing, it sounds great and is very easy to connect. Ease of use is always important. The tiny round remote is great and very easy to use. If it has a fault it is the fact that the speaker must be plugged in somewhere. I'm certain that the volume and power would not be easily possible if it was battery operated. I took it outside about 30 feet from my desk top and it worked great.It was a nice addition to the deck.The key is that I did not have to have the speaker connected to the computer. Overall, after listening to the music on this speaker for a few days, I would not even consider going back to my old set of stereo speakers. They now sound tinny and weak. The quality of the Hercules speakers "shouts out to you". Those with more phone, etc. options will likely have more to say about this speaker.

Let me start by saying that, although I love music, I'm by no means an audiophile or expert on speakers. I'm just an average guy who listens to music primarily in the car, while exercising, and when I'm working. At home, I listen to music from my computer through Rhapsody. With that in mind, here is my review. These speakers are very easy to set up to play on the computer. Plug in the USB, turn on the speakers, turn up the volume using the speaker remote, then go. While there are instructions to change the default sound card (required), the USB card did that automatically for me (and defaulted back too). Playing the speakers via a Bluetooth device (like a phone) is almost as easy. As for the sound, it's awesome. Remember, I'm no expert here, but I can best describe the sound as very rich and vibrant with striking detail. I've heard details in songs with these speakers that I'd never even noticed before. The strong sound fills the entire room. I wouldn't call the speakers portable, but they're fairly easily moved. The cord itself is thick and requires a three pronged outlet. The remote control is designed so that it doesn't have to be pointed at the unit. It's really cool to be able to not have to deal with cords when broadcasting from my computer. I work at the desk in my office and I love having the speakers in the corner providing awesome sound while my computer is fifteen feet away. The price is high, but the sound is great.
