It really did help her with her manners! Review: Great Advice for Girls - This series of books is wonderful and I have bought lots of them for my almost 12 year old daughter. Although they are written for the USA market and some of the words or phrases aren't necessarily what we would use in the UK, the advice is sound, appropriate and there is a strong emphasis on respect and kindness toward yourself, your friends and your parents throughout the series. I cannot recommend them enough. This book covers basic manners, why people tell white lies to avoid hurting others feelings, how to say please and thank you properly and how to take a compliment.
