VDOAC89702 Door Lock Actuator

i have already started trying to adapt this to my 06 Tahoe,i believe this will be not too hard to do to make it work

Even after looking at the part numbers and the comments from customers, this does not fit our 2007 GMC Sierra. Very disappointed.

Amazon listed this product as compatible with the drivers side of the 2008 GMC Sierra pick up truck. Beware, this product does not work with the Sierra new body style pick up truck. I ordered this product and when it came, I broke my door completely down...took about 2 hours because I didn't know what I was doing...and when I got ready to install the new actuator, I found that it was the wrong part. Needless to say, Amazon did not carry the correct part so I had to order it from a different site and instead of putting my door back together I left it broken down in the garage...didn't want to spend 2 hours putting it back together only to have to break it down again in a few days when the correct part arrived. It was a tremendous inconvenience.

I DON'T have electric locks, AND I need the hook inside door that catches door to KEEP shut!! WILL this WORK?? PLEASE HELP need ASAP door won't STAY Shut on 03 Chevy caviler

Despite the Amazon website indicating that this part was a fit, this product will not work in 2007 (or 2008) GMC Sierras that are of the new body style.
