Cra-Z-Art Scented Spinning Art Machine

I love this and so does the neighborhood framily. Purchased to use at my daughters birthday party. It has been a big hit since we opened it. The product had been used several weeks prior to the party and during the course of the party. Children from 3 to 8 used it during the party as well as the 20 - 30 year olds. At 40+years myself, this has been fun to use. My daughter at 4 loves it, and I have no problem allowing her to play with it when ever I'm able to supervise. We have not had any splatter or paint mishaps and it is simple to clean. I purchased large bottles of tempera pain and some large squeeze bottles for additional colors. The little bottles are re-fillable, but I have not done so myself since I purchased large bottles. The paper is an odd shape, however I cut extra paper from old scrapbook pads of patterns I wont use. Further, I purchased this product because another individual posted you can use 5x7 paper which was my primary reason to buy. I purchased heavy card stock for the party and cut to 5x7. It works great, however the splash guard does not work with the 5x7 paper. This was not a big deal for me as I simply placed it in a card board box that I coved with wrapping paper to match the party décor (attached pictures reflect the build up of paint on the inside of the box without the splash guard after hours of use). It's low velocity so paint does not fly everywhere and in the box worked perfect. Since this purchase I've had the neighbor kids over for spin art and they enjoyed it so much the parents have purchased a spin machine for their kids as well. This one is battery operated so I feel like my daughter can focus more on her artwork than pumping to keep the machine in motion. The machine is plastic, light weight and the splash guard is a clear plastic ring that sits on top. Again we have never had any paint splash outside of the unit. Super easy to use and so happy I got it. This has been one of the best purchases in a long time and a lot cheaper than majority of her toys.

Title: Great Art Spinner for Kids, with a Few Considerations I purchased three of these art spinners for my toddlers, aged 2, 3, and 4. Although the product specifies an older age range, I found it to be suitable for the 3- and 4-year-olds with a little supervision. Even the 2-year-old can enjoy it under supervision. This product works like a charm and is a great value for money. Cleaning it is a breeze, and I appreciate how easy it is to set up. Just keep in mind that it requires two C batteries to operate. One thing to note is that while it claims to have scented paint, the paint itself does not have any noticeable scent. If you are considering buying it for the scented aspect, you may be disappointed. However, you can reuse the paint bottles if desired. Removing the top can be a bit challenging, requiring pliers or even using your teeth. Alternatively, I recommend purchasing 2-ounce bottles on Amazon for easier refills. You can use paint from any company, and adding glitter paint from Michaels was a hit with the kids. Amazon sells some recommended replacement paper, but unfortunately, it doesn't fit the holders on the spinner. They’re too small Instead of purchasing replacement paper, I found it more practical to use white or construction paper and trace and cut them to size. Alternatively, you can tape Amazon replacement paper onto the spinner, which also works. It's all about personal preference. One thing to note is that the spinner does not have any padding on the bottom, so be cautious when it’s on a smooth surface table. While pressing the button on or off you’ll need to hold the spinner securely with your other hand, or it may move around. All in all, this is a fantastic product, especially considering its affordable price. The only letdown is the lack of scented paint as advertised. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it.. so go ahead and order it! This came from Florida and I was ordering from NYC. It got here a day or two days before expected.

This is a great toy. My kids used to have one of these, I bought a bunch of different color inks and I'm now having a ball myself using this! ;) For ME! And I'm 66 years old. The spinning platen works as expected, the narrow shield around the edge does seem to keep ink / paint from flying out into space (which would be messy). Here's what I took a star off for: a) I HATE the battery compartments on toys that need a mini-phillips screwdriver to remove and replace the battery compartment cover, Why can't they put a spring latch molded into the plastic like on remote control units (most of them). Maybe mandated by some law to keep kids from swallowing the batteries, but that's "a". b) The paint thinggies that came with it are crap. - If you're going to have good graphics with this, buy colored inks (like Bombay or Dr. Ph. Martin) while you're waiting for the toy to arrive.

I bought 6 of these for a walk-a-thon my wife was putting on for my sons school. I'm writing this review (my first) because the other reviews helped me make my decision to buy this one. It could not have been more perfect! All 6 were running non-stop for 2 hours (minus the downtime to change paper and clean occasionally) and they all performed flawlessly! I didn't have to change any batteries in any of them during the two hours which surprised me because the kids were loading the paint on the paper pretty thick. After a while the paint pools in the bottom and after a quick wash and dry they were back in business. It comes with three little bottles of paint and some paper. Buy lots more paint! Honestly the only negative thing I could say is that it takes an octagon shaped paper. I read in another post that it takes 5x7 cards and I tried that. It works as well, but you have to give it a slight turn in the holders to lock it in. Otherwise it comes loose and rubs against the sides and it stops. I had a local print shop cut me 500 for about $35 (including paper!) Well worth it since they would work perfectly when the event happened. ****HUGE TIP!!! **** If you are buying this to do in a school or event, buy a bunch of the cheapest paper plates you can find. When the kids are done, put their art on the paper plate and put another one over it creating a little dome! Then put a staple or tape on each side then write the name of the child on the top. It completely eliminates the problem of dealing with all the wet art and they can take it with them right away and not worry about making a mess! I can not tell you what we would have done if we didn't do this. We did hundreds and would have been overwhelmed on where to put them all to dry.

Fun project with the kiddo! Was easy to use and set up and made awesome art! Kids absolutely lived this! Would buy again!

My 9 year old absolutely loves it. However, I'm giving it 3 stars because the screw was stripped, so we couldn't get the batter compartment open. Had to pry it off with a screwdriver and cracked the cover doing so. It still works, but the battery cover doesn't stay on. The paint was so thick it came out in globs. We added some water and it worked much better. Not much paint splatter, which is nice. And it's very easy to clean after use. It doesn't come with much paper (and it is a weird shaped size). I read that you can use 5x7 pieces of paper...going to try that. Or we will cut some ourselves.

I purchased this for my two grandsons, ages 2 and 6. They both loved it! Paint bottles are refillable, which is great. I had some finger paint on hand and used that as well. I used one of the included papers as a template to cut out more, using paper I had on hand. The unit basically wipes clean with paper towel. I also used the sprayer in the kitchen sink when we had lots to clean. Since my 2 year old used a LOT of paint - I found that the ends of the paper (my home-cut paper) curled around the edges. To flatten them, I waited until they were dry, then put them between 2 pieces of cardboard & topped with heavy books. All in all, the spin art was a real hit! Inexpensive, quiet, easy to clean - and a whole lot of fun! (even for Grandma!)

One of my children received this for Christmas many years ago and our entire family of 5 enjoyed playing with this toy. My adult children were talking about their memories of our family hanging out and making designs together and it just so happened to be right before Christmas so I thought hey, I should see if I can get one for Family Fun on Christmas Eve! It popped right up on my first Amazon search and the price was really reasonable. My kids were all laughing and excited to get to play with it and we created more fun memories. My 4 year old Granddaughter loves it and asks to play with it almost every time she comes over. It's great because I can just get her set up and she does the rest on her own and is just so pleased and proud of her designs. Worth every penny!
