Woodpeckers Slab Flattening Mill, Small, 24"x48" Capacity, USA Made Wood Slab Leveling Jig, Includes Router Sled, Rails, Clamping Dogs

First off, I'm not big on giving reviews but thought thought this company deserves a shout out. I ordered this sled in January and didn't get around to building it until May and found that it was missing the the rail connector set (for longer projects). Amazon said i was not eligible for return for parts missing and put me in direct contact with them. I told them I was missing parts and without question they arrived 4-days later. The sled itself is very sturdy and made with very high quality materials. The build was a little tedious but very easy to follow and came with all the tools. I have used for 3-projects so far and man, this thing is a beast, absolutely no signs of wear and tear. Woodworking is only a hobby of mine but this thing could definitely be used as an everyday tool in a large workshop. This is a tool that will be passed down for generations. Burt

Let me start by saying that this product may take 2 people to carry from the porch when it arrives. It's just that solid. The manufacturer took NO shortcuts making this product top tier and ultra-high quality. It's nice to see someone puts quality above quantity for once. Assembly will take the average person a couple hours but the instructions and detail given to clearly lable the various parts is incredible which leaves nothing open to guessing or confusion. This is a centerpiece tool for any shop and worth EVERY penny!

It’s a bit of a job to put it together but it’s like magic! It does the quality of a $200,000 cnc machine for 1100$ and some manpower. This thing is a beast Love the feel of the high quality metal and how sturdy and smooth it work Would definitely recommend this

It works and it made of good quality materials... that's the positive. Aside from the initial hassle and back forth with woodpeckers sending the wrong or incomplete packages so we couldn't use it for 2 weeks which backed up paid projects... the thing is a pain in the ass to use. Sliding around while somewhat difficult is ok. The lack of adjustment for the router height is just inexcusable for this price. The pain in the ass of having to shim slabs up to the router when they're too low for the router bit to reach wouldn't be a big deal if it was used only every now and then but I went through about 30 slabs of all sizes in the first week or so and having to constantly drill down layers or plywood to bring the slabs up is way more work than you should have to do for this price. They now have the pro model but you're telling me people are expected to pay MORE for something so ridiculously obvious?? This should be included or or least have a reasonably priced adapter to add on. But with the terrible customer experience I have lost alot of faith in woodpeckers as a brand. As a woodworker you look forward to the day you can afford the "good tools". Can honestly say we were a little heartbroken that the grail woodworking tool company could fail so massively multiple times in just a single product order.

It’s expensive. It’s also extremely well built, well packaged and has great instructions. I’ve flattened 3 slabs in the last two days and it works great.

I thought this product was overpriced until I used it. The results are worth the money.
