Teva Women's Omnium Water Shoe

Very comfortable and appropriately stylish. This is my second pair of this specific shoe; I completely wore out the first pair and it did take awhile. I get compliments on their style. A great sandal!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Wow. These fit great...comfortable with lots of toe room. True to size. Love the tightener at the heel for no slippage. I wore Keens for YEARS. In an effort to replace my worn out, beloved pair of Ahnu sports sandals, which are no longer manufactured, I recently purchased the following shoes, all in size 9M: Teva Omnium Slate Merrell Women's J034170 Choprock Shandal Hiking Shoe Merrell Women's All Out Blaze Sieve Water Shoe Merrell womens Water Shoe HYDROTREKKER LTR SHANDAL Brown Oak Women's Closed Toe Outdoor Hiking Water Shoes Sport Sandals Northside Santa Rosa Sport Sandal Teva Terra Float Active Lace Wild Dove Womens Sporty Sandal Note that I have a 2” arch to support in this review. Yes, it really measures 2”. Even the podiatrist was surprised. Okay, here’s the rundown: The most rugged, most sportlike, and least sandal-like were the Merrells. If you’re looking for stability, support, and good traction, look at Merrell. All of them ran longer and more narrow, particularly in the heel. The Choprock felt lighter and more open than the All Out Blaze or the Hydrotrekker. The Brown Oak pair felt far larger in general and wider, specifically. My feet flopped around in them. Little molding or cushioning in the footbed; but then, that’s relative to the Merrells. The Northside Santa Rosa was the most open and least sporty of them all. No molding or cushioning in the footbed. No real support. Scratchy interior. Better protection than open sandals, though. If you need to seriously lockdown your ankles, look to the Teva Omnium Slate. I liked the security, but it didn’t allow enough space in the instep for me. These took slightly more work to put on with the additional buckle. So, weigh whether you need stability or convenience more. Finally, and my favorite, the Teva Terra Float Active Lace felt immediately comfortable: soft interior; snug, but not tight; ample support; sufficient space in the instep to allow for an additional ¾ orthotic for arch support; supportive, but not clunky; plenty of breathability; more coverage (in mesh) for the forefoot than my Ahnu pair, which should help keep out debris; sufficient traction for my everyday activities. Ahnu had been an offshoot of Teva, and is now manufactured by Teva. So, it makes sense that the Tevas were a good replacement for my old Ahnus. I’m grateful I found a pair that would keep my feet comfortable.

Great shoes but a ad bit narrow. If soon all day they will rub blisters on side of toes

I have a wide foot. I tried Keen Newport H2 sandals first, but I could tell they would rub after wearing awhile. I returned them and ordered these Teva sandals, and they fit perfectly, are very comfortable and are not snug.

I have a very difficult time trying to get a hiking shoe to fit my feet. I've been through so many it's a wonder Amazon lets me try so many that had to be returned. My winter hiking shoe problem has been resolved so I was on the hunt to find a hiking shoe that would be cooler to wear in the Summer. This is the third pair I'm trying out and I thought it would be a return also but they felt so comfortable with plenty of support I needed that I kept adjusting the two straps in hopes of getting a good fit. I have a narrow heel so my heel kept moving up and down when I walk, darn..... the fit was so perfect except for this serious issue. I decided to check out these heel pads that supposedly help this problem, I'm so glad I did!!! The pads self adhesive actually stays put when I put on or take off the shoes!! The pads actually feel comfortable and prevent my heels from moving!! I have a winner!! I've had these shoes for a week now and they actually keep getting better. They seem to mold to my feet, so comfortable.

Fit great, ordered regular size. Breaking them in now for vacation hiking.

If you truly are a size 8.5 and wish for a wide shoe, this will be perfect. I'm actually an 8 but often buy 8.5 to get a little extra room. With this being 8.5 AND wide, it was too big for me so returned it. I wish there were other sizes in Wide. Soft around the ankle, great toe cap, easy to snug. Would be a great all around water/light hiker.
