Install on HO layout. These work great with a Radpberry Pi. Only issue was track lighting giving off IF Red and tripping the sensors. Change bulbs to LEDs and solved the issue. Fun working with them. Used to drive signals on the layout

Good Product

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Cost. Sensor functioned, but has difficulty detecting dark/black objects (perhaps expected since it talks about following black/white path.) But, my use was to detect HO model trains and many are black. And the undersides of most of them are also black, so sensor really doesn't work for me.

I mean...I don't know if they correct it after the customer who found the previous issue, man! They work ok, just short range. Nothing else to dislike abt these amazing little Ir sensors😎. Great for how much I paid for them. I tried to come up with my own built, man! It's time consuming if you are a guy like me, no special pcbs, oven, tools. Yeah, I love these little guys. They get the job done! I'll 100% tell you get them. I also made an interesting discovery that you can increase the range by adding 1 to 5 sensors in //. 3IRs was the ideal range for me, abt 24" range. You can try that, or maybe one has better range😁It's abt 7" for detection, which is great for my robot mower ege sensor.😁

Was quite impressed with the units. Each unit was packaged and sealed in a static bag and all were over packed in one bag. Before using the units I tested each one and everyone of the sensors worked. I am using them at 4.5Vdc and they are maxing out sensing objects at 10-13 cm. The units have an adjustment pot so you can vary the distance and two LED's, one to indicate power and the other when an object is sensed will light. I found this helpful in fine tuning the sensor. I visually inspected the modules and they all looked to be well manufactured especially for the price.

Used it for my simulated Perpetual Motion Machine. Almost didn't purchase it because of product description. It's just a motion detection sensor that triggers low when it detects an object, in my case a ball bearing. The detection distance can adjusted with the blue potentiometer on top. In my case no adjustment was needed. Integrated just fine with an Arduino Micro-Controller.

they don't work. I use them on n scale trains and they can sense my hand passing thru buy if i put the train right against it, it won't work. pins are also bent, so quality aren't great. the range dial doesn't work. it's either on/off.

Funziona bene, comunque difficilmente oltre i 10 cm a meno di non avvicinare uno specchio o un metallo riflettente. Per il resto ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

3 units out of 10 are not functional and not getting any output even the power LED is on, fortunately I only need 6 and extra was spare parts.

Funziona molto bene, ma punta massimo a 5 cm in tutte le condizioni migliori ! Non lo restituisco perché alla fine dei conti posso utilizzarlo per altri scopi ! Niente non lo consiglio per grandi distanze chiaramente !
