A Superb Ball Head For APSC and Micro 4/3 Photographers
*Low Profile Ball Head*I was looking for a suitable mount to attach my Fujifilm X-T2 camera to a monopod, and this ball head has proved ideal. It's simple, lightweight and locks solidly. Unusually, both the head rotation and ball angle are clamped with the same bolt, and that was a big attraction to me, in my quest for simplicity and lightness.Quality of construction is excellent, and the only plastic I can see is the ball socket liner, as I would expect. The friction can be finely adjusted from rock solid to smooth movement whilst retaining support, and this is important in avoiding equipment damage. Not all ball heads work this smoothly, and there's certainly a feeling of quality about this head.A large part of the attraction for me is the Arca Swiss compatible clamp, which will secure a standard 37mm wide plate. I use my camera with an additional hand grip attached, and the base of that is Arca Swiss compatible, so in my case I can mount my X-T2 directly to the ball head, which is very handy. For everyone else, the ball head comes supplied with a small plate that can be attached to your camera. Most importantly, I trust this ball head with my expensive equipment. For my ASPC Fuji camera it's perfect, and definitely solid enough for tele zooms up to 300mm. Whilst best suited for lighter cameras I'd also rate the ball head for full frame too, provided your lenses are light weight. For those really long pro or old school metal body lenses though - especially at full frame - I'd probably opt for a chunkier ball head than this one. But I shoot mainly with a mirrorless Fuji camera because I enjoy the compactness of the system, and the amazing image quality. So for me, this ball head is absolutely perfect, and - unusually for me - I really can't think of how it might be improved on.High praise then, and full five stars. Purchased at just under twenty pounds, and strongly recommended.

Very solid locked position
I've purchased two of these. They are very sturdy. Smooth rotation and very stable. The top plate is held firmly with just a gentle turn of the know. I fully trust them to hold my cameras.

Neewer Low-Profile Ball Head 360 Degree Rotatable Tripod Head
Personally, I think the Neewer Low-Profile Ball Head 360 Degree Rotatable Tripod Head is possibly one of the best ball heads you can buy today (under £100).Why?Because it's almost bulletproof and for the price, it's a no brainer in my opinion. OK, if you destroy it by overloading it or by clamping down on the ball head too tight then that's down to you. But under normal circumstances, the head is an absolute steal and with it's lower than normal profile it shouldn't be ignored.Don't take my word for it, buy one and see how you get on. In fact, buy two as I'm sure you'll like it enough to warrant a spare.

Very good on smaller cameras.
As a low profile head this is really very good. I use it on an Olympus em5 mkii. It is lightweight and has a dual thread on the connector which has been very useful.

Fantastic value
I was looking for a ball head to mount on a slider rail, so it needed to be lightweight and low profile. This Neewer head feels very well made indeed, and with a stated Max Load of 10 kg it is easily able to securely support a DSLR. For the price it's fantastic value for money.

Does the job reliably and well
Now used this for several shoots, does the job just as well as a " brand" make and seems well made and substantial.

Excellent lightweight ball head
This is a really excellent small lightweight ball head. Very smooth and positive action and locks. If this is the style of QR plate you use then buy this head, I can’t think of a better one in this category. Some people may not like that the ball movement and pan base are both locked by the same lever, although I don’t find this a problem.

Well made
Don’t write many reviews but this is a cracking little ball head feels very well made :)

Well made.
This is a very portable ball head. The swivel action is smooth and it locks up tight. The final position of the lock arm can be adjusted to avoid interfering with the mounted device when swiveling through the full angle of adjustment. Easily holds my older Criterion 100mm scope with a canon t3 mounted (about 1.5kg/3lbs).The overall finish of this ball head is precise and professionally done. The arca style wedge clamp is a bonus!I would recommend this to any photographer who wants a small, easy to use ball head for a travel bag.For the price you can’t beat Neewar.

Great value! Smooth movement and tight hold
The media could not be loaded. This is a really nicely designed and constructed ball head for the price! So much better than the sub-$10 cheap ones. All the mechanical pieces move smoothly and there are a few things that stood out to me:- The ball joint has a plastic liner between the metal ball and metal shell, so once it's loosened you get a nice smooth movement without any grinding or stickiness- The knob to tighen/loosen uses a thrust bearing! (See photo). If you're not a mechanical engineer, the thrust bearing basically avoids metal-on-metal grinding/sliding when you really tighten down the knob, so it's not going to get stuck no matter how hard you tighen it. I was blown away when I noticed it - you don't typically see attention to details like that on relatively cheap hardware- The knob has a spring-loaded rotation feature - if the knob happens to be sticking out and getting in the way once you've tightened it, you can pull it out, rotate it in 60 degree increments and let go to tuck it away (see video). Again, really nice attention to detail!Build quality is excellent. The only thing that's a minor negative is the included arca swiss plate; it's a little cheap feeling compared to the rest of the ball head and it doesn't have a finger ring on the 1/4" thumbscrew, so you really need a coin/screwdriver to tighten it into your camera securely (I also wish the rubber on the top was textured for better grip and to prevent it from rotating). But It's still a perfectly functional arca swiss plate, so I can't complain and it's certainly not bad enough that I'd take a star away for it.

Bastante util
