Don't worry about the price. Just buy it!
I used this along with the Chemical Guys Clay Bar kit, Chemical Guys Polish pack, & autolock polishing pads (see attached photos). I also used my husband's dewalt orbital sander with the pads & polish/wax. I have never had the outside of my van detailed before either, nor have I ever done it myself. Overall, I didn't realize how much work goes into detailing lol. Especially, since I could only do this for a couple hours in the morning and evening. And like I mentioned earlier I dont have a covered area to do this. You can't do detailing in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces. So this ENTIRE process took me two days by myself: washing, clay bar, polishing, & waxing. Considering my van is a 2016 it now looks almost brand new. I never realized how faded my paint was looking. It took my father-in-law pointing out a SERIOUS problem area just below the front of my hood to realize it needed some serious TLC - see photos. At first I thought it was a little pricey for a single bottle. However, after using the product, seeing how much is used, & how much is remaining it was well worth the purchase. Application was very simple. I decided to wait the recommended time of 2 minutes before buffing the wax after each initial application. I wanted to get the best protection and shine possible after doing all this work lol. I am going to do reapplication of this wax in about 3 months just to keep optimal protection for my van. This wax in conjunction with the polish has made my paint look AMAZING (practically look like a whole new vehicle). It has rained a few times since I have done everything and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at the beading of the water as well as much water just rolls off even when my van isnt moving. Also I the droplet residue that usually lingers on the paint after it rains is almost non-existent. So the streak-free aspect seems accurate. I just cannot believe how good my van looks now. I highly recommend this product.

Slick and Shiny!
A few months ago, I re-painted my old Subaru wagon with a Didspade's Blue Iris supershift pearls. Dust from the local dirt roads collects on her, and I wanted to see if the Chemical Guys had something that would make it easier to clean and maintain her fancy paint job. Their ceramic HyperWax is like nothing I've used before. It was tricky to apply, as the jiggly blue clumps of product would rather roll off of the microfiber cloth (and onto the ground) than stay on or absorb into the cloth. Unlike a traditional paste wax, the product also seemed to all dump out across the first wipe, and subsequent wipes laid down very little product. It was also hard to see the areas where product had been applied, and needed to be wiped off, versus areas I already wiped down (the dried product does not have much contrast against my color(s) of paint?). It took me 2 hours to wash the car and apply the HyperWax , and the sun had gone down by the time I was done. I immediately noticed that the treated paint felt as slick as ice! I imagine that the many hours of sanding and polishing of the clear coat must be contributing to the extreme slickness effect. The next morning, when I saw the car sitting in the early sun, I could not believe how much more the paint popped! After wiping off the overnight dust with a California Duster (the dust wiped off with zero resistance), I took some photos of the freshly treated paint job. Even though a photo cannot express the actual dynamic sparkle and shimmer of billions of light-splitting facets reflecting into your eyes, the pictures I posted hint at the immense storm of delicious optical brilliance that now radiates from the color shifting paint. It's been 2 days, and I could not be more satisfied with the visual enhancement and the super slick feel from CG's HyperWax. I wonder how long these awesome effects will last?

Easy shine....
Pricey stuff but it does do what it claims to do. At least it does for me, on a 1 month old white 2024 Toyota Rav4. It's a new car with factory paint so I didn't expect any wax, ceramic or not, to fail much. I had no problem with the original paint on the car but thought I would see how much of a difference this ceramic wax would make. Big, big difference. Super easy to apply and remove. I can't imagine more slickness a shine than it provided. I would suggest having more microfiber towels than you think you will need because removing it with a clean and dry microfiber towel provides a much easier and slicker coating than with one that is not completely dry. Highly recommended ceramic coating. Especially on your new car. I will add that most of the negativity towards this product seems to be because they use it on a dirty car, use too much of it or they just don't understand the difference between ceramic coatings and waxes and expect "better than wax" results when that isn't what ceramic coatings are supposed to do.

Good Product easy to apply if you follow directions.
This was my first time using this product. Ive slowly been converting my products over to the Chemical Guys product line. I am heading to Kure Beach on vacation in a week so i wanted to get a coat of something on my truck before we left. I watched a lot of reviews and finally chose this product for a "top coat". I watch several videos including a couple from the Chemical Guys website. Any product with ceramic coating can be tricky if you don't follow directions on the application. My first impression was the product is very thick and gelly. When you watch the videos you see the instrictor put four pea size drops and it easily coats the vehicle. My first several attempts the "pea size" drops rolled right off the microfiber applicator. I finally after a few attempts learned how to manage the application. I didn't think it coated anything like the videos i watched. It is important to get even distribution of the product for even ceramic protection. I applied this on an overcast day. it was kinda warm so i applied it to a small area approx 3'x3' area and buffed off in approx 1 minute after application. I used a quality microfiber towel flipping frequently. I thought the product came off fairly easily. Once it was complete the product looked great. I have a black Ford f150. it left the truck with a deep shine. Several neighbors stopped and complimented me on the truck. According to the manufacturer this should last about one year. I don't see that being possible but that could be me being skeptical. I am looking forward to the curing time to be over so i can see the final finish. It takes approx 3 hours to cure according to the Chemical Guys. Overall a somewhat expensive product but first run I feel it is worth the price.

Cheap option if unable to afford professional ceramic
I’ve been using the Chemical Guys WAC22916 HydroSlick Intense Gloss SiO2 Ceramic Coating Hyperwax on my truck for a full year, and it’s been a reliable choice for boosting shine and protection with minimal fuss. The gel formula applies easily with a microfiber pad—4-5 dime-sized drops per panel, spread thinly, and buffed off after a minute—leaving a deep, glossy finish that makes the paint pop and water bead impressively. After a proper wash and clay bar prep, it took about 2 hours to coat my truck, and the hydrophobic effect held up well through rain, dust, and occasional off-road grime, making washes quicker as dirt slid off easily. The 16 oz bottle, priced around $39.99, is concentrated and lasted me three full applications over the year when used sparingly. It’s a great middle ground for DIYers who want ceramic-like protection without the cost or commitment of a pro coating. However, the “up to a year” durability claim didn’t fully hold up. By month 6-7, the beading and gloss started fading on high-exposure areas like the hood and roof, as some Amazon and Reddit reviews also noted, requiring a reapplication to maintain the effect. The gel can streak if you over-apply or don’t buff quickly enough, which was a learning curve, and thorough surface prep is non-negotiable for good results. Compared to professional ceramic coatings, it’s less durable, and some users prefer spray-on ceramics like Turtle Wax Hybrid for easier application. The bottle’s dropper tip also clogged a few times, which was annoying. For the price and ease, it’s a solid option for maintaining a glossy, protected finish, but expect to reapply every 4-6 months for best results, especially on daily-driven vehicles.

Love it. Not hype. But proper prep is critical.
I'm totally re-writing this review. I was unhappy, but it turns out it's because I was lazy and didn't prep properly. The instructions were lacking, and they downplayed the importance of proper prep. Now I've meticulously buffed the entire car and as long as I re-apply once or twice a year, it's always smooth and beautiful. One absolutely critical point they failed to mention. After washing, clay, buffing as needed, you MUST wipe entire car with an IPA solution (simple 25% Isopropyl Alcohol in a Home Depot sprayer). This removes the residue from the cleaners, especially if you used compound (that uses an oil suspension). Failing this step will cost you several months of lasting power. In fact, it'll be mostly gone within a couple months of parking outdoors. With IPA (and proper cleaning before that), it'll be golden for at least 4 months, and even 8 months later it'll be good enough that you just have to do a quick wash, clay, IPA, and re-apply. Now I have a buffer

As good as they say.
This is magical stuff. Clean your car. Wipe this on, wipe it off. A year later it is still working. BE CAREFUL, though. It is not wax! Wipe on a thin coat. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes max. Buff it off. It won't seem like you're doing enough, but you are. The first time I used it i put it on like paste wax thick and left it for an hour. It was VERY difficult to buff off.

Don't buy!
Chemical guys I hope you read this review. I have been using several different products you offer and have been enjoying them. This product though is garbage. The consistency is horrible for applying it to vehicles surface. Not easy to use at all. The biggest problem though is that it is not easy to wipe off. I spent 2 hours hand buffing this off my wrangler. It globs up and streaks so bad. The amount of work you put me through using this product is unacceptable.

Best after wash care I have ever found
This really does extend the washes between my cars. The application is easy and sometime I can just hose the car down and it looks clean like I just washed it. It’s great product and very happy.
