I recently purchased the Saregama Carvaan 2.0, and it has been an absolute delight! This portable digital music player comes pre-loaded with 5,000 evergreen Hindi songs, offering a rich collection that spans various genres and eras. The curated selection includes classics from legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, and Mohammed Rafi, making it a perfect companion for those who cherish golden-era Bollywood music. Saregama Radio completely lacks in reliability. While offering pre recorded collection is nostalgic and reliable, the product simply does not work. I bought the radio (v. 1) and that did not work. I assumed v. 2 may be reliable- but this time, it was a broken product right out of the box. If Saregama would like to continue selling this product, they need to manufacture reliable and working product. Till then, my advice is that no one should buy this radio.

I love old music and if you are someone, who doesn't have time to download music, this has it all. Just loving it right now. Easy to function. Song collections are nice. Bit expensive but if you are a music lover, then it's o.k.

Its a good product idea in the sense that it makes it very easy to listen to good bollywood songs. We now listen to songs more than we have ever before just because its as simple as pressing a button. A couple of lows for this device are that the default/automatic shuffling/selection of songs within a category is not perfect, it keeps repeating a song often, and once you switch it off it forgets the songs it has played and plays them again. Secondly the sound quality is below average. No bass. and treble on some songs gets a bit shrill. It should have had a better speaker.

I bought the one with wifi/app, it was around 150 bucks. It's very good so far and very easy to use. Song selection and song/vol quality are pretty good. The remote control makes the experience even more enjoyable and convenient. I read all the reviews before purchasing this so I bought the 3-year insurance plan as well because I have a feeling this will have issues in the future. So, while I'm happy now I will edit this post in the future if the player stops working.

I love love love this little player. I got the Hindi version. Usability is not a problem if you don't know the language. Instructions in English are provided. Sound quality is very good (understand that in some cases the recordings are very old). I grew up on American rock-and-roll but have been slowly discovering these Indian treasures for a little over a year now. Am constantly finding new favorites. Thanks to Saregama Music for making them accessible in many ways, Carvaan included.
