Art of the Buckle

Again, another great book by Mary Emmerling! I am never disappointed with any of her books. Very dependable writing and photographs. They make wonderful coffee table books.

Don't buy this book. It's a lousy picture book without any sholarly content or apparatus, like text, bibliography, or index of artists. Nearly totally useless to the collector of of southwestern jewelry of any kind. Further more, don't by from this vender anything. The book costs $15.72. You are required to pay for return postage, and they will refund you a miserley $8.22.

I make belt buckles and was pleased with this book. It had many examples of artistically made buckles. Very inspiring.

I liked this book but it is a very big overview and not too much detail. But it is a good book for referrence book for Southwest and Cowboy buckles

This book is an advertising brochure for the various manufactures featured in the book, was expecting more information on fabrication and metal smithing

If you like buckles, own just one or call yourself a serious collector, this book is a must have. A beautiful, comprehensive collection of buckles and tip sets from traditional to way out and everything in between. The photography is gorgeous as is the graphic design and layout. There are interesting, informative and often amusing quotes and anecdotes from the makers and collectors that give this book a personal touch and unique point-of-view. This is an exceptional book, very high quality at a very affordable price. A great tribute to a classic artistry. Buy it!

Book of modern, and generally ugly buckles that look rather the same. Returned for a refund.
