Cheap in price, and it works as intended.
I ran across a YouTube video where a guy tests at least a dozen of these type of things including one that cost $200. After storing coffee for awhile in all of them he made some coffee. He got done with his taste test and I will sum up what he said, he felt that the CoffeeVac seemed to keep coffee just as fresh as the $200 one; and the CoffeeVac was very easy to use. After seeing the product on the Amazon, and noted CoffeeVac was the best selling one in Europe with over 10 million sold, and the complaint ratio was extremely low, and the price is right; so I decided to buy one, and it seems to work just fine. Always remember to push in the button when closing the top, and to push it again while removing the top.

Nice container for storage
Does everything it promises. Nice price, size and lid tightness. The vacuum seal is tremendous.

A couple issues but good coffee container
I bought this recently to hold espresso beans. I've only had it a few days but I really like the container. I'm not convinced that the seal is airtight (It's probably not), but it seals pretty well. The thing to realize when purchasing this is that the black top is basically only held on by the vacuum. The problem is that to anyone who hasn't seen the container before, it looks like the top either screws on, latches, or is secured some other way. I've only had this a few days but I already saw 2 people pick it up by the top at first to check it out. The lid separates almost instantly when you press the little button on the lid, but again if someone is picking it up by the lid and also happens to press the button, its going to eject the container and all its delicious coffee beans onto the floor. This isn't a huge deal and obviously the answer is "don't pick it up by the top", but it's not always possible to explain to it to everyone before they decide to pick it up. Other than that issue, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to open the container with one hand, but my hands seem big enough to do so. My hand is a little over 7 inches from edge of my wrist to the top of my index finger and it doesn't seem to be a problem. If my hands were a bit smaller I could see it requiring two hands to open (one to lift the lid, the other to press the release). That could be obnoxious if you're multitasking in the kitchen while making your coffee. Despite that, I feel like it's a pretty good price for a nice sized container. I've never stored my beans in another type of container, but this is a huge step up from the disposable bags that the coffee comes in. Pros: +Good Price +Good Size +Does a good job of preserving beans. +Very light (I expected something heavy, this weighs almost nothing). +It looks pretty slick. Cons: -Doesn't seem completely airtight. -Someone is going to pick this up by the lid and smash my beans all over the floor, someday. Other: -Could be too big to open with one hand, but it's fine for my hands.

COFFEE STORAGE OPTIONS ON AMAZON
I was surprised to find out both how fast coffee loses its flavor, and how good fresh can really taste. I got into roasting my own green beans (available HERE on Amazon: Costa Rica Dota Estate, Green Unroasted Coffee Beans, 1lb ) with one of the poppers still on Amazon that will do so (they are HERE: Toastess TCP-713 Hot-Air Popcorn Popper and HERE: Toastmaster Hot Air Popcorn Popper TPC2 ), then brewing them in the inexpensive little Bialetti Italian moka pot (available HERE: Bialetti 6800 Moka Express 6-Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker ) for AMAZINGLY fresh coffee I'd never experienced being American! All the barista sites I've surfed (source aapbr dot org) told me that: green coffee beans, when cool and dark, last a year or two in storage, and some (Arabica) even get better with age. Once you roast them, after three or so days of CO2 release, they start to lose flavor within TWO WEEKS! Once you grind the beans, the grounds start to lose flavor in FOUR DAYS. This is all trumped by the correct storage techniques. Here are the ones I've tried on Amazon that work GREAT, and don't cost a fortune like the vacu seal machines that can be over $200 US! Green beans: I use the "pseudo vacuum" of the COFFEEVAC (see it here: Tightvac Coffeevac 1 Pound Vacuum Sealed Storage Container, Solid Black Body/Cap ) which isn't a vacuum at all, but works fine for green. Does NOT work for new roasted as it doesn't have a co2 release valve. Freshly roasted beans step one: For the first 3 to 4 days you need a container with a CO2 release system. One (the Friis, see it HERE: Friis 16-Ounce Coffee Vault, Stainless Steel ), is more expensive and has replaceable filters. The other (The bean safe, see it HERE: BeanSafe "The Coffee Storage Solution", Polypropylene -MOCHA ) is cheap, and only has a small valve, but doesn't require replacement filters. Freshly roasted beans step two: Best is to use right away after the three day roast period. Roast just enough for your next few day's needs. The normal popcorn popper will take 81 grams for roasting green beans (about ½ cup or about 5 tablespoons green). These yield (bigger) roasted beans of about 9 tablespoons. Since a tablespoon of ground is roughly the same as a tablespoon of roasted beans, and the moka takes 3 tablespoons for 6 cups of espresso/moka each pot, that gives you roughly three days of roasted beans. I keep the roasted (since they will be used in a few days) in the next "step up" of vacuum: a semi-true vacuum with the airscape sealer (see it here: Planetary Design Airscape 64oz Chrome ). This gets close to a "real" vacuum, and just enough to let a little extra CO2 escape over those 3 days. FINALLY, for fresh grounds, the most vulnerable, you'll need a true vacuum to extend the life. I use the handheld freshsaver from foodsaver (10% of the cost of the foodsaver system, see it here: FoodSaver FSFRSH0060-035 FreshSaver Handheld Vacuum Sealer with Starter Kit, Red ) with the little "Tupperware" reusable foodsaver tubs. In the cool/ dark (don't refrigerate) this vacuum will keep fresh grounds fresh for over a week, close to the taste when just roasted. For background, I'm not a coffee snob, but as a throat cancer survivor I have barely any taste buds left and coffee is one of the few great tastes that still work. Also, the above is FAR less expensive than either buying drip or certainly Starbucks. Amazon has green beans of very high quality (see link in first paragraph). These can be (eg. Sumatran Arabica) over $40+ a pound roasted, not very fresh when you get them, and you can get them for under $10 at times on Amazon GREEN, REAL savings. Enjoy!

Best Product to Hide Stinky Stuff!
I have three very snoopy kids and now that they're teenagers, I have to hide any trace of stinky Mr. Green that I have stashed in my desk. They come downstairs where my office is and they like to play Nintendo Switch on my projector. But I noticed that it sort of smelled like jazz cigarettes down there and it got me worried. My devil's lettuce didn't have anywhere else to go unless I was willing to go all the way down to the gross basement and hide it down there. But then the kids would be wondering why dad was CONSTANTLY going up and down the basement stairs. Better to find something to hide the gage smell close to my desk. So I went on Amazon and found this amazing Coffeevac, which promised to keep your coffee fresh as a daisy. But that's not what daddy was going to do with it! When it arrived at my home, I immediately brought it downstairs where I keep all my zoo-wee-mama. I had to kick my kid out because he was playing some Zelda game down there. Once he was gone, though, it was easy enough to unpack and load all my KGB into. To be honest, it was my wife who I was afraid would smell all the cabbage and get mad that I'm not hiding it well. I did NOT want to have that conversation again, let me assure you. So now my stash is all organized and safely unscented in my desk thanks to this amazing Coffeevac invention. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Puts an end to struggling to seal and get coffee out of those small (compared to your hand) bags
I wrote this review actually for four products as they work so well in concert: If you also buy the Tightac Coffeevac 1 pound canister to keep your coffee in you can say good-by to struggling to get your hand down in the bottom of those narrow coffee bags to reach the coffee in the bottom. It seals well, better than the bags the coffee comes in as it has a vacuum seal. It's very easy and a pleasure to use. The coffee bag hassle, every time you want to make some coffee, is eliminated. I like the Bunn Coffee drawer because I want to brew two servings (10 oz) at a time using the Coffee Drawer insert. I like to paper filter my coffee as that removes some oils in coffee that are not good for you and leaves you with all of the benefits of coffee. A 10Oz serving is perfect for the Contigo steel Desk Mug another product which I like very much when used with the Bunn MCU Single Cup Multi-Use Home Coffee Brewer. It keeps the coffee warm for a long time and has a vacuum set up that really seals the coffee in when the mouth piece seal is released. There is enough material in the Ekobrew Single Serve Filter single serve filters to allow two measures (a 10 ounce serving of coffee) to be placed with just enough room left over to seal the coffee grounds in the paper filter when the top screen of the Bunn Coffee Drawer (not the single serve Cup Drawer) is closed. I iron out the bottom of the paper filter with my thumbs and forefingers to increase its volume – works exceedingly well. All of these products taken together make a real winning combination especially if you want to brew two servings of coffee at the same time and use a paper filter to get rid of the unhealthy oils coffee contains. The Ekobrew Single Serve (don't let the name fool you it's just big enough (barely, and that is what you want it to be) is an essential part of this set-up. It seals so well almost no grounds get down into the Bunn Coffee Drawer. I can easily dump the grounds and wipe out the drawer and brush off the top screen with a Kleenex and I'm ready to go again. I wash the coffee drawer once a day.

Air Seal a neat feature
The little air nozzle is neat and the coffee stays quite fresh. It’s great to pop it open and inhale the coffee aroma!

Super Kaffeeaufbewahrung

Fantastico
