Magpul Sling Mount Kit, Type 1, Black

Compatible with MAGPUL BACKPACKER STOCK for PPC. Included in this review please see photos that show all of the components in this MAGPUL TYPE 1 SLING MOUNT KIT as well as the tools I used for an easy installation of the kit. Excellent quality, fit and finish. Already owned a two point sling with “UNCLE MIKE” style hardware and wanted to use this kit combined with GGYOU QD Sling Swivel Stud Mount (also shown in photos for clarity). Works perfectly. Lightly tapped mount into stock with small hammer - yes a plastic mallet or piece of wood is also a good idea. The screwdriver has a magnet on the top and I used that to hold the nut in place for a few starter turns. Next used the 5/16” socket to hold the nut in place while tightening with a 1/8” Allen Key. Gun oil for ease of release of socket from stock when done. One of the instructional videos for this product is incomplete and only depicts the mount being hammered into the stock. MAGPUL makes very high quality aftermarket components!!! Hope you find this review useful and/or helpful.

Easy install into my magpul hunter x22 stock, works perfectly. Update.... I decided I wanted a QD sling attachment on both sides, I ordered another type1, after it showed it shipped on my amazon account, I watched a magpul video on the hunter x22 stock, it said use a type1 & type2, you dont need to, 2 type 1 will work you just have to used the shortest bolt and nut supplied. The type 2 has threads in it so no nut required and costs $4.00 more, save yourself a little money if you own the hunter x22 stock and use 2 type 1's.

This is another great Magpul product. I used this to add a QD sling attachment to an AK variant stock. It did attach pretty darn quick, in my opinion, and is rock-solid and fits great. Magpul is a great company, and while this is a little pricey for what you get (basically a steel hole with a screw), it works amazing and allows you to attach and detach a QD mount sling stud to your platform in the blink of an eye.
