Scalpmaster Nylon Bristle Salon Contour Brush (S-300-IV)

This is the hair brush I have been searching for, for years! I have a ton of very thick hair, and boar’s bristles are not enough. I have been using my mother’s hairbrush that she gave me, that she used to use when I was a child. It’s almost 40 years old now, and she laughed when she realized I still use it. I started thinking they just don’t make them like that anymore. This new brush is finally comparable to that one in its sturdy bristles. My flyaways just laugh at all other brushes I have tried. The price is amazing. I’m going to be buying several more to hold onto so I don’t have to hope this one lasts me another 40 years. I will buy some as gifts for my fellow thick haired friends too. I have a rather tough scalp from brushing and styling my long, heavy hair, and it does not hurt my scalp, but I could see it being painful for children or people with thin hair. Would also make a pretty great weapon in case of a home intruder. Haha!

I misplaced my brush that I had been using for years and was wondering what would I do for work the next day so I went on Amazon and ordered three brushes that were delivered very early morning before work. Which was perfect for me. I was able to try out all three. And I must say out of the three this is my new go to brush. It is easy to hold and easy to use and I prefer it even to just brush out my long hair. My hair is thin and blonde. I also use this to put my hair up into a ponytail or any type of updo. Again, this is the brush I prefer. The bristles are firm and spaced far apart, and are longer than some other brushes. Again, go to brush for everything with my hair. The other two brushes I do not even use. For what you get, it is a good price, especially because I like it. And it is also very easy to clean the hair off of the brush again because the bristles are so far apart.

I was looking for a brush for kids with fine hair - something between a paddle brush and a baby brush, that would hold water when run under a faucet to help tame hair the morning after washing, wouldn't scratch the scalp, and doesn't contain boar hair bristles (gross, cruel). This brush meets all of the criteria, except it is a little scratchy. It's not too hard or too soft - it would work with thicker hair. So it's still okay as an extra brush (I bought several different kinds) and worth the $4. I found another brush (Giorgio) with beads on the end of the bristles that costs a little more and is a better toddler friendly brush, but won't hold as much water. Water spray bottles also help, but not all kids are tolerant.

I’ve been using a tangle free brush for my fine colored hair. It’s hard to put it into a piney tail. So I ordered this and it works perfectly. My hair is below my shoulder length. It’s also not a big brush so you can take it with you.

Great Brush. In fact, I bought 2 of them. I use them as a dog brush. the bristles are stiff enough to go through the dogs coat but gentle enough not to hurt them.

This brush is well made however it is very stiff

I love this brush. I wasn't sure if it would be what I needed but it was. I love that the bristles aren't super soft but are firm enough to get the edges laid like I want them.
