Swimming Lap counter
My wife and I love the 90010 Combination Sportcount. We use it for swimming lap counting. It is easy to use and the large digital readout makes it easy to read. Read the instruction carefully and don't forget to push the button before you take your first lap. This will start the timer. At the end of the swimming, it gives you the overall time, fastest and slowest laps and the average lap. When done swimming and you reset the digits, it shuts off automatically. I found it easier to adjust the band to fit your second finger before I use it vs. trying to loop the band around your finger. Set the position of the button so it is easily pushed by your thumb. This is a great product at a great price. Adel

AWESOME - works perfect!
This was an awesome investment. It was purchased with a gift card received from ATT! I am swimming a mile + daily and found counting laps in my head monotonous. Decided to search for a lap counting device. Found this! it is PERFECT. fits on my index finger - just use thumb to mark the laps. it keeps track of each lap time, total time, total laps, and fastest lap and slowest lap. Only draw back is I havent quite figured out how to STOP my laps and get the final lap time accurately . . . If i hold it down it eliminates the final lap . . . If i click the final lap and THEN hold button down it thinks I have swam another super QUICK lap and that becomes my 'fastest' lap. So I opt to eliminate the last lap so I can still know which lap was truly my fastest. Helps keep swimming fun.

easy to use and comfortable.
This is my first lap counter for swimming, so i can't compare to others. However, it fits easily on my finger and is adjustable. simple instructions are included. Just set it up, start and go, and click the little button with your thumb at the end of each lap.It also tracks time and gives average, fastest, and slowest lap, as well as total time. The only downside is that you need to be careful to hit the button correctly to make sure the lap is counted. this may be a common issue, but since it is my first one, i can't tell. The best thing to do is practice a few times to see where in your stroke it is most efficient to click the button. The price is very reasonable, and when the battery dies, I will likely buy another.

Disappointing design choices
This could have been such a functional little gadget, but it's mostly just disappointing. Supposed to be primarily a lap counter, but the lap count only displays briefly when you press the one and only button. Otherwise, it just displays a running overall elapsed time. - There's no way to recall / re-display the current lap count. - There's no way to pause the timer, such as if you take a break between laps. It would have been so easy to make this much more useful: - Should be able to switch between displaying current lap count or elapsed time. - Should be able to pause the timer. What a waste.

Would definitely recommend.
Comfortable to wear and easy to use. Button is in the perfect location to hit with my thumb every time I kick off of a wall which has quickly become instinctive. Itโs nice not to have to repeat the number of laps in my head with every stroke in order to keep track of where I am in my workout. I would like to give it 4.5 stars because it would be nice if the device would automatically sense when I turned around and if there were more features such as a Bluetooth phone connection, the ability to save split times, etc. but, given the price point, itโs understandable why this doesnโt have all the features of an Apple Watch. It does display the lap number and split time for that lap before going back to the running timer each time you push the button and reports total time/laps average time per lap, and the fastest and slowest lap at the end of your workout.

Awesome device
This thing is a great little device for tracking your laps in the pool. I wish I had one of these back in the eighties when I was swimming for miles in the pool every day. Simple enough to use, ergonomic if properly placed for pushing the lap count button with the thumb at each turn, and surprisingly does not impact my stroke like I thought it would. For me, the only downside is that my eye-sight up close is not great, so it is hard for me to quickly glance at the display to read the lap count or time, but it is in a better position than my watch to grab a glance (Note: I cannot read my watch either). That said, I am unsure if they could make the display any bigger without changing the form-factor, but if they could, it would be even better. I don't know how long the battery will last or the protocol for having it swapped out, but I will cross that bridge when the time comes. For the money, the ability to better track my laps, and my sanity the value to expense ratio for me was worth every penny!

Ok at basic functions of overall time and lap counting
Hard to see during use, so I've gotten used to using it as a lap counter and stop watch after I finish my swim. I also found it awkward to press the button when it's on my index finger in the "normal" position, so I wear it upside down on my middle finger. I find it easier to find and press the button with my thumb. At the 9-month point the display started to fail (one zero is a seven), so I'm sending it back under warranty. I tried removing the battery to see if that might solve the display problem, but no joy. Which leads to battery replacement: yes it's possible, and it uses a common watch battery, but it requires a very small Phillips bit (PH 00), which most people are unlikely to have. And the silicon rubber gasket can be tricky to align. After removing the back cover and replacing the battery, run the screws in until they JUST stick out from the cover, this will be enough to capture the gasket and hold it fixed while you position the cover and run the screws in tight.

Will it last?
Dec 9, 2024. Just changed the battery again. Took three tries. One thing to note is you have to clean the battery. I used a pencil eraser. Should have, but didn't also use alcohol. This improved the contacts with the device. Got it to show the digits instead of all 888s. Heading to the pool to see if it will still work. That gasket is thin and moves around while trying to put the cover and tightening screws. It worked. Was able to do 20 laps and the counting was great. FAILED: Second time at pool. :-( I bought this on Feb 8, 2024. This morning at pool it stopped working. All I used it for was to count the laps. It did that well. Would have given it five stars for that. I guess I could try to change the battery. From some other reviewers here, this is not easy or successful. Sheeeesh.

No 'pause' function
The product functions as-described but there's no means to pause it, which limits its usefulness for casual users [like me] who may want to take a breather or chat with a friend/coach in between laps.

Nice simple timer and lap counter
It counts laps, it times laps. It averages your lap time and gives you fastest and slowest laps. Fits comfortably and easy to operate. Does exactly what it claims to do

Fits on the finger, easy to click over each lap with thumb. Gives lap time, then at completion total time, fastest lap, slowest lap, average times. Use every morning
