Tough Gloves® Enforcer Unlined Cabretta Leather Gauntlet Gloves

Great gloves for cosplay, goes well with my Sith costume. Bought the largest size that was selling (size 12) because I have big hands. Putting these on is a tiny bit snug because the shape of the glove is made to the contours of your hand where the wrist area is narrower than most gloves or gauntlets I've tried, these will eventually loosen with continued use but actually, if the gloves were any larger the fingers would be too big and floppy, so I guess these gloves were meant to hug the shape of your hand and complete wrist area. The black leather material is soft and thin (no lining version) and the gloves themselves are very very lite. They look and feel good and you wont need to worry about these flopping around or feel like they're falling off-of your hand, nor will you need to continuously adjust these like bigger cheap 'pull your socks up' versions. As for the gloves dexterity, the hands and fingers feel more natural than any glove I've tried and although movement at first will feel odd because of the 'hug' type nature of these gloves, you'll eventually get use to them. The gauntlet cuffs aren't as stiff as some gloves out there but you wont have to worry about these flopping around, if you're of a thicker forearm build like me, they're open wide enough to fit over a medium to thick unlined jacket or shirt sleeve... the gloves fitted over the top of my thick hoodie sleeve with room left to play but might be a little tight if worn over the top of a thick winter coat or thick lined leather bike jacket. The packaging was that of a thick cardboard FedEx envelope, convenient for it's size and arrived undamaged and in one piece. The gloves themselves were coupled together with a thin plastic fine barb threaded through a small tab on each of the gloves inside cuff, a flat piece of cardboard separator between them to aid in keeping the gloves flat and wrinkle free, then packed into a thin clear plastic bag with a couple of Silica gel bags inside. I trust these will stand the test of time... these will compliment any Sith, Vendetta cosplay costume... they're very comfortable (once worn in) and great looking gloves. There is one test I haven't tried with these yet which is the water resistant test, but I'll leave that for someone else to review that will use them in those conditions.

As others have noted, these run a little small. I got the 9s per the chart, and they *just* fit. But I'm good with that as I wanted a very close fitting look. I think they will fatigue my hands after a couple of hours, but that's easy to fix. The chestnut color is darker than I'd anticipated, but very nice even so. The stitching is very even, and they are buttery smooth. I have no idea how tough they'll be, as they have a similar weight to formal leather gloves. I anticipate they'll wear quickly if you are actually using them or gripping items. These will be for cosplay, and I don't plan on giving them much of a work out, so hopefully they'll last for many years. If you plan to use these for something like fencing, or using hand-held props with a costume, consider getting a size larger and possibly adding a thin layer of pigskin to the palm for durability.

There is a reason why these gloves are priced at almost $80: They are very high quality. When they say tight fit, it's not extremely tight, but just tight enough to permit me some fine motor skills. My only minor complaint is that the cuffs are wider than I expected, but that's trivial in the grand scheme of things. Wound definitely recommend.

These are nice, well made leather gloves. Sized correctly, they fit very nicely and look really good. That said, this type of glove was designed for protecting the hands and wrists when riding or fighting from horseback and these are a little light weight if you are looking for gloves to provide authentic function. However, if they were more functional, they wouldn't look as good. A case of function and form being divergent.

Absolutely beautiful pair of gloves. The leather is so fine I was afraid to put them on. They are super soft, very strong, and (ha ha) fit like a glove. I went to the Tough Glove website and followed their measuring instructions. The result was a perfect fit. These are really nice.

Ordered a size 8 - I have three pair from them already and they are size 8. The pair that arrived are marked size 8 but I could not get my hand in them. I am returning the gloves and I can understand that the maker did mark the wrong. I hope for an expedient refund and that they check them before returning to stock.
