Ghirardelli Sauce Pump For 87.3 to 90.4 oz Bottles Dispenses, 0.5 oz of Product Per Pump

Not even able to use it. Brand new and it doesn't work, can't return or get a refund either. For the price of these, they are crap. This is the second one in less than a month and sad is this one is literally opened and not working...

Works great for me.

Cheap plastic pump. Periodic cleaning of pump is necessary to prevent chocolate build up. Even with regular cleaning, pump failed after 5 months with very light usage of no more than one pump per day. I used it to add chocolate to my morning coffee. The check valve in the end of the spout failed (fell out, not replaceable), and pump now leaks and drips.. This pump not repairable nor returnable, so no option but to purchase replacement. I am not aware of alternative products. This pump is a must have item to conveniently use the large 87 oz bottles of Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce. Great chocolate, lousy pump.

its a syrup pump no more no less

I bought this to simplify my sauce use for my espresso machine, but the sauce in question is not a Ghirardelli brand. It still fits (apparently this is the standard size and pitch/threadcount for larger containers), and works perfectly. My only complaint (hence only four stars) is that it too quickly fails to pull sauce from the container. That is, there's plenty left, but the pump cannot get to it. I think a small modification in the design of the tube could fix this, but I just pulled the pump out and manually poured my sauce for those last few days' worth of espresso before buying a new bottle.

just what I ws looking for

This product merits a 1-star, and a 5-star! It is excellent for those who use it many times a day, like in a restaurant. Well made, precision measuring. A pleasure to use. THEN, it rates low for home use, where it is used for 2 or 3 cups a day. The cleaning is a pain, and wasteful of the syrup. If not cleaned regularly (daily) it gums up, and stops working. NOT SATISFACTORY for casual home use.

This pump works great with the Ghirardelli sauces! We have the caramel sauce. I read the other reviews but decided to purchase anyway, rather than try to find another pump. I am glad I did. I got the sauce (90oz) directly from Ghirardelli. This pump does not go all the way to the bottom, but I believe this is meant for the 64oz containers. Some reviews mentioned about the pump curving at the bottom. The one I got does not. It is a straight, solid pump. It comes apart for cleaning. I usually just run the Keurig with hot water and pump the hot water through it to clean out the syrup. The the rest of the cleaning is easy. When not in use, I usually just put saran wrap around the tip to keep the pump from drying up. I have not had any issues. I have used it quite frequently for the last 6 months. Last weekend, we used it at a festival and went through 2 1/2 containers (90oz) using the one pump. So it has handled heavy, repeated use. I ordered another one just as a backup...to make it easier to switch to new jug without the delay.

This makes such a difference. Can't get the sauce out of the jar without it!

Ordered this for our white chocolate sauce and was VERY disappointed when it broke in 2 days. We tried rinsing it out in case it was gunked up and nothing worked. This review is in reference of the specific product and not the company. I should have contacted them right away for a replacement but I forgot and then time went by.
