I used this for a preschool class that I was reading a story called "The Balancing Act" and needed something to demonstrate weight differences. I was not sure if this would be what I needed but it turned out to be just perfect. It is easy to put together, the colors are bright and cheery and it is larger than I anticipated which was good. I also had bought additional weights for this and they turned out to be the exact ones that come with the set but with more and different weight sizes. Perfect!! After reading the story the kids were just thrilled with the balancing scale and were excited to play with it! Nice product and a great price also! Thank you!!!

These are a great resource for homeschoolers or teachers. My kids love exploring and playing with these. We also got the balance set to go with it. Learning Resources Baby Bear Balance Set There are many ways use you can use these and they are easy to store and bring out as they come in a small storage container that stays closed. We have had this a little while but probably will be using it more now than we had before as more just a toy/exploration tool. Now we can get more into using them and understanding what they are and mean and how to use them within math concepts as they are a bit older now.

I use these with a balance scale to teach students that the = sign doesn't mean "do something," rather "the expressions on either side are in balance." Works well for that.

Bright colours that attract the kids. Easy to use, and the fact they are stackable makes them easy to use and store. Only criticism is that hexagons in the rectangle storage container is not a good fit. Otherwise a great resource!

These weights will make metric measurement activities more engaging and the colors corresponding to specific weight will also be helpful for my second and third grade students. They arrived neatly packaged in a plastic lockable box that is easy to store.

used with Learning Resources Baby Bear Balance Set to find out how much small toy cars and trucks weighed. really liked that the weights all seem to fit back in the case easily - perfect stacking not needed (hope that doesn't mean some weights got lost or eaten by the dog)

These are useful for our balance. Measurements are clearly marked and colors are bright, and they stack! Daughters love it.
