So far so good
I can cook with it and also put on my skin. Itโs a Twoโfer. Very healthy to cook with. And my skin soaks it up after a shower. I was using coconut oil after I showered but this is a nice change.

Enjoyable to cook with
This is the first time I've used grape seed oil and I'm pretty impressed with it. I use it for cooking, although it can also be used for hair and skin as a moisturizer/cosmetic. It's performed very well when sauteing a variety of foods, but is especially good with fish. There's very little (if any) taste imparted by the oil, which is a big plus when cooking a mild-flavored fish. I've also used it when making bread and pizza crust, both with excellent results. It's not ideal for dishes where you want to taste the oil -- nothing beats a good olive oil for those situations -- but for tasks such as frying and some baking, it's been very nice to use. It is thinner than most oils so you do need to take care when pouring that you don't make a mess. To that end, the bottle this comes in leaves a lot to be desired. It's a simple plastic bottle that's fine for transport (no need to worry about broken glass) but it's not ideal for usage or storage. I decanted what would fit into my glass oil carafe, and stored the rest in an empty glass bottle that another oil came in. I won't deduct points from my rating due to the plastic bottle since it does have a benefit for items sent through the mail, but keep in mind it's not a good long-term usage or storage solution.

Perfect Oil For High Heat Searing.
I like to. sear my steaks and chops before finishing in the oven at lower heat. Key to doing this is a quick really high heat sear. The higher the heat the better. Only problem is my canola oil will really smoke when the heat gets to the point I'm desiring requiring the medium (loud on my large Jenn-Aire) vent top. This oil allows me to get to a very high temp with very little smoke allowing the lower settings on my exhaust fan. I am very pleased as the sear is excellent and the neutral taste of the oil gets me the closest to the best in steakhouse quality. I might try it eventually for other uses since this result is so pleasing, but this was my main reason for trying this oil and I call it a complete success. Others have mentioned the container and I too was a bit taken back as the bottling is really not congruent with a high quality cooking oil. Perhaps this is due in part to the fact this oil has cosmetic uses too? Ignore the container as this is a great oil for your kitchen.

Taste the food, not the oil
GreenIVe's 100% Pure Cold-Pressed Grapeseed oil is a high-grade product that was a delight to review. I used the product to sear meats as well as in making sauces and dressings. What I liked most about this oil was its versatility. You could literally go from searing steaks and chicken breasts to scrambling eggs and oil never burned. I also used the oil to make alfredo, mac and cheese sauce as well as a salad dressing. The flavor of the oil did not overpower the delicate flavors of the light vinaigrette I made nor did it get in the way of the very subtle flavors of pan-seared chicken breast or any of the veggies I sauteed to combine with it. What I did not like about GreenIVe's offering was the cheap presentation. The bottle the oil ships within looks like a cheap shampoo bottle. I had a glass oil bottle I purchased years ago laying around so I redistributed the contents of this oil into that bottle as I found the original so unappealing. Otherwise, I found no cons with this product. I highly recommend this Grapeseed Oil by GreenIVe.

really nice, light-weight oil
I use this oil more for beauty than as a cooking oil. I use it on my daughter's hair, who has naturally curly hair, after we've washed and conditioned it, applied a leave-in conditioner, and then this oil goes on last. It helps with sealing in the moisture of the leave in conditioner and reduces some frizz. I love that it is light-weight and doesn't weigh her hair down. I've also begun applying it to my stretchmarks on my stomach and a spider-vein I have on my leg because I looked into more uses and benefits of this type of oil and it listed those uses. It's still too soon for me to tell whether it has worked for reducing those in any way, but I will update my review later. I can say that it sinks into the skin quickly and doesn't leave you greasy like coconut oil does, plus it is non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores) unlike coconut oil.

Very pleased with how much I got
I read online that this oil is great for discoloration of the skin and I have a few acne scars that darkened the pigment of my face, for the amount you get here it's a great value. There's not special pouring spout so I recommend buying a smaller bottle to pour this into so you can save the rest without risking contaminating it with bacteria from touching it so often.
