Bob's Red Mill Pearl Barley - 30 oz

Very good quality barley. I used it to make chicken and barley soup and it turned out great!!!

When I had a recipe that called for Pearl Barley I ended up getting some Pearl Barley that was split and I couldn't use it in my Instant Pot because it turned to mush. So, unless your recipe calls for split Pearl Barley, make sure you get whole Pearl Barley! The Red Mill Pearl Barley is perfect. It cooks up correctly whether I use it in my Instant Pot or in a pot on the stove. The flavor and texture are exactly right too. I highly recommend.

The pearl barley is really good quality and the packaging was in excellent shape. I am more interested in the brand of barley but seller seems to handle its end well. Delivery was handled by Amazon. I am not excited about how the subscribe price was more than the regular price listed on Amazon but I think that is Amazon shenanigans (because it also happens with other subscribe items) and not this specific seller.

Anything made by Bob's Red Mill is good. This pearl barley is the best I have had. I cannot find it locally and am glad it is available here. Highly recommended products. Cooks well: Great to add to soups etc. Health benefits: Barley is a healthy choice for taste and fiber

I purchased a box of 4 packages and all arrived intact and still sealed. The bag has a resealable top so even after you open the package, the pearl barley stores well. I combine these with other ingredients to make a porridge, and there is no difference in taste of the porridge from the first time opening the bag until the last portion of the bag is used up. I have purchased this product many times but have not had any bad barley in any of the packages I have purchased.

Great to cook with other grains which make good fiber+protein complimenting mixed vegetables

Okay, so barley is a commodity much like corn or wheat. But over the years we have come to know and trust the Bob’s Red Mill brand for so many products. The barley is good, fairly priced, and just right for hot meals on cold winter nights, In fact,we will be making a beef and barley stew this weekend using this product.

I rinse them then cook in my rice cooker. Comes out great and tastes good
