As a dual language teacher, it is hard to find resources in Spanish. This book is an excellent resource to use in the classroom!!

Mi hijo tiene 8 años y es bilingüe, pero solo sabe leer y escribir en ingles. Hoy es el primer día que lo usamos y estoy bastante sorprendida, ya que con la ayuda de las sílabas es muy fácil, mi hijo se aburre muy fácil a la hora de estudiar, pero con éste libro estaba muy contento de poder leer. Tiene ciertas palabras que desconocemos, pero tan fácil como saltarla.

Es la segunda vez que obtengo este libro en lo personal me gusto mi hijo aprendió y esta vez lo compré para regalo

This book presents Spanish syllables as the building blocks to words and makes it easier to learn to read. The vowels and some syllables are presented along with words that have that corresponding syllable at the beginning, middle and end. Ex. "que" - QUEso, raQUEta, toQUE (the other letters have words that use the syllable at the beginning and/or middle and/or end). There are colorful pictures next to the words, so it helps to build vocabulary / identification of objects. The letters are not presented in order - the vowels are presented first. You can follow the book from beginning to end or you can skip around in it. It can be used by itself or it can supplement another learn-to-read method. If the child does not yet know / recognize individual letters, this book can still be used; you will just have to skip some stuff and then go back to it later. Another idea would be to do the letters and sounds together (as presented in this book). I have not used this book in its entirety yet, but already I am very pleased. (The only reason I did not give it a 5-star rating is because it is not "perfect", but it is very close!)
