Like Grandma's hands
It is good. Taste like ginger, not artificial, but real ginger. The cost is not high, especially considering it tastes like it came from your Grandma's kitchen. Something she simmered and stirred lovingly for a while, waiting for it to be just right.

amazing flavor
i cant get enough of this preserve! I love ginger and this is amazing on toast. It has good chunks of ginger in it which i love. It is just like regular jelly or jam (as it is called in the states) but it bursts with flavor. It is shipped in a glass jar but i have ordered it 3 times and never one broken jar at all. If you like ginger its worth the try!

Absolutely delicious!
Mackays Ginger Preserve, and Rose's Lime Marmalade are my all-time favorites! The Ginger Preserve has just the right amount of ginger chunks for me. The slight ginger bite is great. It's perfect on toast, or smeared on a rice cake!

As Good As I Remember, As much a sweet treat as a gingery one.
I tried this as much to remember the product's taste as a childhood favorite and also as a means to bring sugar, ginger, and a more robust mouth feel to a Penicillin cocktail. Good on all fronts!

Yummy (but expensive)!!!
I have never heard of ginger preserve before, but this is fabulous. If it weren't so expensive, we'd buy some a lot more often.

Ginger chunks is what makes the product stand out. It isn't spicy. Though you get to enjoy the crunchy ginger pieces, be aware of the sugar content as well. If you are healthy enough to overlook the sugar, then go for it.

Mackays Ginger Preserve is truly delectable. In fact, all the Jams and Preserves of Mackays are very tasty. I would request the manufacturer to make them available also in 500 gm bottles.
