Oh the joy of instant results!
My cats and dogs always take interest in doing things they absolutely should not. Things like climbing Christmas trees, exploring internal parts of electric organs, ripping up the window blinds, getting under the kitchen cabinets, hanging out under ladies dresses, etc. The dogs really like a lot of the same things but they REALLY like the litter boxes. (Gross!!) They're always trying to smell and eat the houseplants. They're all very interested in licking the dinner plates clean as well. And although I appreciate the offer to help, I do not want them eating people food because we don't always eat as healthy as they do. I have one cat that is very vocal at night when he's assaulting stuffed animals and I can't stand it because it wakes me up and I have a very hard time getting back to sleep. This is what they make this for. It not only scares the pants off of them, it has a pleasant smelling pheromone that lingers and reminds them that what they just did is still not ok. It's pricy, but man oh man does this stuff work. After a while it even teaches them not to do it anymore so it makes for more well behaved pets, but also a more respectful family unit. The cats used to chase the dogs (yes you read that correctly), pounce on the dogs when they rounded corners, attacked the dogs while they jumped on or off the furniture, or napped unsuspectingly; They're no longer doing those things. The dogs used to sneak into the office to grab some litter nuggets for a quick pick-me-up between meals; Now a thing of the past. If you doubt this is true, prove yourself wrong. Or prove yourself right. Either way, you'll have tried everything and will know what does or doesn't work. This stuff also works as a deterrent without using it just by picking it up and showing it to them. Sometimes I have to take the lid off if I'm out of their field of vision and whatever it is they were doing just stops. They will call your bluff sometimes though so it's good to have some left to spray. They will try you from time to time. Be prepared. Be very prepared.

Perfection! Never use it more than once.

This worked surprisingly well.
I learned pretty quickly that you cannot over-use this, or it will become less effective. They'll learn pretty quickly that it's not going to hurt them, so they'll ignore it. I use it to get their attention when they are in spaz mode and aren't listening. It brings them back to focus. I only spray it once though. Then I use commands. I've sprayed it at least a couple dozen times and it's not empty yet. I don't notice a calming effect. I don't mind the smell, it goes away quickly. It could definitely be cheaper, though.

A M A Z I N G!!!
This works. The can is small. I ๐๐๐ this soooo much that I bought 2 more. Some might think that the price is high for 1oz. Iโm telling you that this is amazing - my 8 year old dog stopped barking at people on our walk for the FIRST TIME.

Nope
This did not phase my dog. Thats fine. I wasnt expecting much. I was hoping that using it in conjuction with in-home training, we might have some sucess...but he could not care less. The bigger problem that I had was that it was an instant migraine trigger for me. 3 uses, 3 migraines. Then into the trash it went. Bummer.

Didn't completely work
Startles my pup, but doesn't get him to stop barking. The can only lasted 3 days. Way too expensive to only last a few days.

THIS REALLY GETS OUR 2 SCHNAUZERโS ATTENTION!!
Iโm so glad that I found this spray!! I have 3 Miniature Schnauzers. One is 6 years old and the other 2 are 5 month old puppies! I actually bought the spray to get the attention of the 2 puppies for training them. But one afternoon on the screened in porch I gave it a spray to correct the 2 Puppies and the aroma of the dog pheromone scent that is in it, wafted through the air, all 3 dogs sniffed the air and completely settled down. The smell was even pleasant to me as well. They now listen so much better and this is helping me out with my training! I will be ordering more! Such a great value to add to your training regimen. UPDATE: We lost our Sweet Little Aurora our 6 year old Parti Miniature Schnauzer to cancer. So we still have the 2 sister Schnauzers and they are almost 2 now and we still use this STOP THAT! Spray with them occasionally now to have them focus and pay attention. They are siblings so they tend to get silly sometimes during training, just like us human siblings did when we were younger! We stop training and be silly for a bit โto get the sillies outโ ๐คฃ๐พ๐พ๐๐คช And now all I have to do is get the can of STOP THAT and show it to them and the come to attention and regroup. The pheromones in this are supposed to smell like an alpha dog. All I know is this stuff works! We will always keep some on hand! ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ

It works if used consistently
I have a very reactive chi mix who flips out barking at cars, people, animals, houseguests, neighbors, etc. I bought this as an alternative to whistles and spray/shock collars. At first, I used it sparingly and inconsistently due to its high price and doubt over the efficacy. It didn't have much of a long term effect. However, once I started using it and carrying it whenever I took my dog out, it has worked wonders. Even after just a week, my dog is finally responding to a quiet command and restraining himself from barking at everything, which has kept him out of the anxiety spiral. Now I hardly ever need to spray it. The spray has an interesting combo of a startling noise and calming scent. Sometimes I let my dog sniff the nozzle just so he calms down and is aware I have it on hand. Neighbors have commented on his change in behavior. I highly recommended this as a training tool. *NOTE* the can is very pressurized and the nozzle is sensitive, so you must take care when removing and replacing the cap or holding it. We leave it uncapped.
