What type of lighter fluid is best... lamp oil, kerosene? Any types of fluids that should be avoided?

You can use kerosene but the best thing to use is a clean burning lamp or oil

How would this work with a woodstove? Every image is a fireplace and the item left in. Doesn't the handle get too hot to take out of a woodstove?

It works well in my woodstove. I put it in the left corner and close the door as far as I can, with part of the handle sticking out. I leave it about 15 minutes until it burns itself out and the wood is burning. The handle doesn't get too hot.

I have the pot but need to replace the wand with the ceramic stone. Would this be available stand alone?

Hi Gregory, sorry for the delay in responding. We don't have the wands available by themselves anywhere for purchase, but if you purchased one of our Firelighters and need a replacement wand and store, give us a call we can arrange it.
