Judaism For Dummies

This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to understand Judaism. Just the history of Judaism alone is fascinating, and there is so much more information.

This book explains the basics of Jewish traditions and religion. Its broken down into segments like holidays, rituals, history, etc and is easy for a non-Jew to follow abd understand.

This is a great reference book, but I went and read it from cover to cover for fun. It's paced very nicely. As a non-Jew who's thinking of converting, this was a great starting point. Totally Recommend.

I purchased the book for a friend who is re-igniting her Judaism. The content is sophisticated and accurate. Easy to read in sections or to use as a reference.

My son is becoming Jewish and this book was recommended to me. It’s been very informative in an easy to read format. I have been learning a lot about the Jewish faith. The author makes the book interesting and engaging. Great value for the money.

Good book seems to cover all the main points, written in an interesting fashion, no preaching just the facts. I liked the book if your interested try it, I think you will to.

É um livro bastante interessante sobre Judaísmo em geral. Bom para aqueles que, como eu, não são judeus mas gostam de saber mais sobre a rica cultura de povo, suas crenças e costumes. Para quem sabe ler em inglês, recomendo.

IMPORTANT: This is NOT a review of the contents but one of the quality of the edition! I haven't been able to read the book yet, unfortunately, and there is a good reason to this: Some sections of it are printed in a perfectly clear layout, others are just full of ink and let you guess what the authors want to say (b.t.w., even the ISBN no. is only half legible). It must be a matter of typography but books should undergo control before they are being sold. It's just very hard to read and will take twice as much time to understand. I can't believe such bad quality is on sale! It's a shame, especially since Amazon couldn't deliver the book at all the first time I ordered it and I haven't even been refunded yet.
