Could a roof top rack be installed so that a kayak could be carried over the air conditioner (i.e. rack is over 9.5" inches high)?

Where is 410 AMPS coming from???? NO...NO 410 amps...this unit draws about 12 amps running and start-up or in-rush spikes at about 30amps

What kind of inverter is needed to run this ac unit(13500btu)at full capacity?

The unit 'runs' at about 13-15 amps...that puts the wattage draw at 1560-1800. I would go no smaller that a 3000 with at least a 5000 peak just for starting. It will use up battery pretty quick. I had a similar set-up in my boat with a 'marine air' system running off a 3600watt inverter with 3-12VDC deep cycle batteries. I could run the A/C for 4-5 hours away from the dock then I would have to plug in or crank the gen set
