Excessive Runout
This wheel had more than 0.110 inch of "Total Indicated Runout", the threaded insert was not installed straight or centered properly. For my application it worked because this was a consumable wheel for truing and dressing a resin bond diamond wheel for a cylindrical grinder. This silicon carbide grinding wheel was mounted on the workhead spindle and rotated at 200RPM and successfully was able to dislodge grains from the diamond wheel. But a lot of this silicon carbide wheel needed to be ground away before the runout was eliminated.

When removing a lot of metal, such as glaze, rust, slag etc
Trying a lighter ceramic disc, this was good but a bit heavy for prolonged use

Too heavy
I had planned to use it on a quartz tabletop sink cutout. The weight of it was too heavy for the variable grinder which caused it to oscillate. I did not touch the quartz and was able to return it. I needed “manageable and smooth” for which this was the wrong drum.
